Ask yourself the question, what would the Revenue think about it? Why did you feel it necessary to ask the question in the first place? You clearly have doubts.
What if you mother was passing money to you (temporarily) to avoid some sort of benefit enquiry?
You either give money away or you don't. To pretend to give it away in order to gain some pecuniary advantage is tax evasion.0 -
For me, I will not bother. Just look for a regular saver account, although losing some tax, still I feel myself clean.0
