Would you pay these charges for ironing?

Have you thought about doing laundry instead of ironing, since there's already a local ironing firm?
I was recently looking for a laundry firm, who'd take away my washing and bring it back clean and dry. I looked on the local directory for caring and domestic services (maintained by SS) and out of 8 firms I emailed who were listed under laundry only one actually did laundry and charge £13.50 an hour plus costs to go to the laundrette. So if there's less competition and higher prices it might be a more profitable option?Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
The service I use (Central Scotland) charges £13 for 20 items or £25 for 40 (excluding sheets duvets, tablecloths etc)
I drop it off and pick it up

Thank you for sharing this. I am currently in the process of placing my company being in the Health and Social Care Directory. The only concern would be that I do not have a drier. Ok for now I guess if the good weather continues...0 -

My currency for ironing is wine :rotfl: A friend of mine irons my work shirts for me and I pay her in wine, which we drink during a catch-up0

I wouldn't pay for ironing shirts as they're my favourite thing to iron, but some of DD's dresses with frills, flounces, details, pleats, linings etc I might! Either that or I'll have to learn to stop buying them0

10 , 15 , 20 minutes to Iron a shirt?? :eek:Build your own dreams ~ or someone will hire you to help build theirs
£10 a day = £335.99 Road Kill Rebel #50 =12P0 -
I usually send around 5 kilos at a time and am charged £27.50 - shirts are not charged separately, if they were then I would choose another service as most of my load is made up of cotton or linen business shirts and I would not be prepared to pay £1.50 per shirt.
The company collects and delivers (included in the price) and operates in the Reading area as well as into some areas of Hampshire.
Most importantly, they guarantee it will be undertaken in a smoke free environment.
They also offer a wash and iron service which costs more.:hello:0 -
I pay £12 for 20 items and £2 for every extra 10 items.0
