And me!!:j My OH thinks that I have a drink problem!! :rotfl: Seriously, I find it is nice to sit and have a wee glass whilst surfing on here and buying some cheap shoes/jackets off Ebay:D What more could a woman want.......Wine, Shopping and Friends:p
I often do this, the trouble is the more wine I drink the more stuff I bid for on Ebay:rotfl:0 -
yes, i always that too when my two were little. i also had them into a routine so that they were in bed at 7 pm and the next 2-3 hours were my time and a glass of wine time. i mean i did have them all day and my husband was offshore a lot so i felt i needed time to myself - worked fine for all of us!0

sorry to be a party pooper but just wanted to check why you are posting? if you are worried about how much you are drinking maybe you shouldn't drink every day? I do think a glass everyday would be too much for me but that might be because i can't hold my drink and if i was looking after small children I would always want to be in a state where i could drive to the hospital in an emergency! (yes a bit paranoid i know but anyway....)
still wine is one of life's pleasure's and if you are happy enough then enjoy! i suppose one glass a day still keeps you well under the government limits (and as we know the government are always right!)why be a song, when you can be a symphony?0 -

The amount of times I have done this on a Saturday night is unbelievable:eek: I have to ration myself now as I don't end up doing the 'Drunk and Texting' I do the 'Drunk and Bidding'!
Once I had 2 friends up here for a girly night last year and we all ended up half cut. We ended up on Freecycle and my friend woke up on the Sunday to us having to go and get a Cockatiel for her! We all thought it was a great idea the night before:rolleyes: The things you do after a couple of drinks.:beer:The world is full of Pink Fluffy Clouds......you just need to open your eyes to see them:)

I have a 20 month old and a 7 month old and as much as I love and treasure my babies, when they've gone to bed its definately mummy time!!!!
Mine are both up at 6.30pm sharp!! On a particularly bad day, you'll find me watching the clock and wishing the minutes would go quicker!
They are both really good kiddies though, especially my youngest. He really is a little angel! My DD is at that age though, where shes into everything. I don't know where she gets her energy from! I turn my back for a second and shes usually knocked over the cup of coffee that I thought was safe, drawn a picture for me on the wall, pulled out EVERY toy onto the floor, lost my mobile phone and given her brother a good poke in the eye. I don't know how she manages to do all this in less than a minute!!
Silver Lilly - Why are you worried?? If your only having the one glass, then you shouldn't feel guilty. Its when you are dirinking a few bottles a night that you should start to worry. I don't drink so I can't really comment but I'm sure 90% of mums have a nice glass of wine in the evening. We all have our vices, its how we make it through life at the end of the day. What the Deuce?0 -
Yes, I find myself having the odd glass, but whilst counting the calories, a rum and diet coke ( only 50 cals a glass! Not sure about my measures tho!!) slides down well!! We are all entitled to "me" time !! I say "Cheers" all round!!Member of bad mothers club, not sure of the number!0

i do the same not all the time but every now and then after a stressful one you will find me in a hot bubble bath drinking a glass of rose and munching on some choc's then i spend the rest of my time before bed surfing and every now and then i have a break and do some tidying up or if my OH is home form work i snuggle up on the sofa with him. i cant wait for bedtime some nights although now he is 2 and a half bedtime has just moved to 6:30/7:00 as he gets up too early otherwise! in fact now i think i fancy a glass try and get to the shop before bedtime i think!"You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need"

I would think you're doing the exactly the same as Mums (parents?) up and down the country! I'm a SAHM to 4-year-old twins and a 2-year-old girl too, so I'll raise my glass to you later (about 7.30 pm) ...
4 year old twins and 2 year old girl (why did we do it again bl!?!) but I will raise my stella can to you later! Cheers10 -
I am worried cause its really over half a bottle every night .Its just a bad habit and i don't drive so i haven't got thatto worry about and i do spend a lot of time on my own.
I was just wanting reassurance that i wasn't the only one that reahed for the bottle almost everynight its not got any earlier in fact its later normally about 8/9 these days but i do tend to refill until i go to bed and i am also trying to break the habit of taking one in bath with me as i have a bathy every night !0
