best tip i can give for camping is (so im told) an old scout mantra - one blanket underneath is worth two on top.
its really important youput something between your body and the ground when sleeping in a tent. not only will it make you much comfier, but the difference it makes to the temperature is phenomenal.
and BTW, we started out with a cheap tent, it lasted us surprisingly well for our first season of camping. we had no qualms about chucking it when it fell apart because we had got our money's worth. (although if you know anyone with young kids it may well be appreciated as a cheap garden shade for when the kids are playing). we now know exactly what we want and need from a tent, so when we are ready to go away next we can invest in a decent tent which will last for years :jknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
I hope you love it:D0

Hi
Nice tent Syman !!
Pavlovs dog is definately right about the blanket underneath. Even if you sleep on an airbed the ground absorbs alot of your body heat. I use airbeds but I always put a rug underneath the airbed (I've heard some who get cardboard boxes from local shop & use them) and a fleece blanket over the airbed underneath the sleeping bag. Snug as a bug !!
Enjoy your camping !
Have you got a first trip planned ??0 -

good tent you have there. We started camping last year and have all the kit as I just can' stand roughing it
we also have a gazebo which we find a godsend, along with the usual tables and chairs the other good thing to have are some cheap rugs, the ones that are cloth/rag that you can fold up and wash, they are great as a barrier against the cold ground in the evenings, we also have electical hook ups that don't cost much from Ebay. Blow up beds are a must too along with the pump that you plug into the car lighter.
Oh and one more tip, don't pitch the tent where the sun shines in the morning, you will wake up sufficating in the heat and then come evening it's freezing, try to get a pitch with the sun in the afternoons0 -

Syman I don't think it's £30 delivery, I took the item to the checkout stage and it showed me 000 past the £74.03 tent price, but anyway glad you yours.0

Hi Syman
If you go at Easter, prepare well for the cold as you could easily have a hard frost then. Also it will get dark early too. I'd definitely recommend https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk for advice. I've had a stove and stand from Lidle/Aldi can't remember which and it was cheap but v good quality.0
