    Update - Just had a call from Tesco saying "we are sorry about this BUT nothing we can do, go to Apple".

    I'll be visiting the apple store in the next few days and will let you know how I get on.

    Guys, just wanted to give you an update. Visited the Apple shop and despite all my best efforts they would not budge on the price. In the end I paid the £119 and took up the replacement offer.
