VirginMedia Log in problems

Options
Have just contacted virgin and they are aware of login problems affecting the whole of Scotland. Seems to be when you are trying to login to secure networks eg banking or ebay etc you cannot login. They say they are trying to fix the problem but I just saw another poster on the Ebay board saying that it has been two days since he reported it and still not sorted out.
Just a heads up to let people know there is a problem.

Re reading the original post it does say there are login problems affecting the whole of Scotland which I understand to mean there are people with Virgin media all over Scotland who are having problems with https but that doesn't mean that everyone in Scotland on Virgin media have problems.

I had this problem for a while yesterday but it cleared up about 19:00, it only seemed to affect secure sites but when I phoned about it I was told there was no problem and it must have been my computer, he was quite rude about it.
I ran with Telewest for 7 years and never lost a connection now all of a sudden with Virgin I am losing e-mails and broadband and I am also being charged to receive my phone statement on paper.

superscaper that is what I meant, but probably didn't say it very well. For example I can log in to Egg but not Ebay. I am also having trouble with MSE as sometimes cannot post. Same call to Virgin Media also mentioned connection problems in ML1 and ML5 I am in ML6 and having problems. This post was just to let others in Scotland who ARE having these problems to be aware that there are issues with Virgin Media as we thought that perhaps our ebay account had been hijacked.

I'm not with virgin but I think it's good to warn others of genuine problems. The first thing I want to know when I'm having any type of internet related problem is "are other people affected?".

Customers throughout Scotland may currently be unable to access secure webpages through their Virgin Media Broadband Internet. This may include sites such as Webmail, any online e-mail accounts and Online Banking services. Our engineers are currently investigating this issue.

Virgin Media would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
