Apparently, the average British car is now 2" wider than the minimum width allowable for a parking space (5'11")

Yep, a real council warden. I even watched as he photographed the parking sign, the car and then ticket it, then walk right past the 2 cars next to it, clearly in breach of the parking regs!A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.0 -

Maybe those were his car and his colleague who was down the road trying to reach his daily target set out by the council.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Recommended width is 2.4 m with length of 4.8 m and aisles 6 m wide however 2.2 x 4.6 is not unknown although as PP said it is really up to the landowner on sizes provided.0

I want to know, why I witnessed today a traffic warden giving a ticket to some poor sod for over staying his time. Yet totally ignored the 2 cars clearly parked in the yellow hatched do not park zone! :-/Coupon-mad wrote: »A real Council CEO (not a warden)? Or a private parking goon (even more NOT a warden!)!
In Glasgow city council parking enforcement officers do parking spaces and council car parks, traffic wardens (Strathclyde police run them) do double yellows, bus bays, hatched areas, obstructive parking etc.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett
