Totally fine, promise!
I don't care what anyone wears to our wedding as long as none of them turn up in a long white dress :rotfl:

Green is supposed to be more of a no no than black at a wedding anyway! But I don't think anyone cares these days. I'm sure you will look great.0

i wore a black cardigan with a purple and black dress to my sisters weddingHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

its fine hun - and you will probably discard the pashmina for the evening do anyway!
dont worry - just go along and enjoy yourself!0 -
2 of my best friends wore black dresses to my wedding, as did my DSS's girlfriend - they looked lovely and I had no problems with it. I'd have lynched them if they'd turned up in silver which I wore0

The last two weddings I've been to I wore a black & white (more black than white) combo, with red shoes, bag and earrings. Nobody cared what I was wearing, they were much more interested in what the bride was wearing and the booze table.0

My daughter is getting married in August and i am wearing a black and white dress with black shoes/hat and bag.
AND i have got another dress (red and black) for the evening "do" - as another poster said, brides mothers perogative!
I have no intention of showing my daughter up - i just want to look great and have a wonderful time!0 -
I wouldn't worry, I went to a wedding a while back and I looked all over for something to wear that had some colour because it felt wrong to wear black to a wedding but it seems many people now wear black, not my thing but you wont be alone.0

The only person who changed for the evening do at my first wedding was a cousin's wife who had worn a bodice she's not tried on for a couple of years and had to breathe in all day as it seemed to have shrunk!!! (or something lol)
I expect a few people may change for my second wedding later this year as we are having a celidh in the evening and so people may want to be more comfortable for dancing but either way won't bother me.
Black will be fine - I've been to a wedding in black (with tiny white flowers embroidered ) and a stunning black and white fascinator that I really want to wear again as I love it - so if we get invited to any other posh do's/wedding I suspect I will be buying another black dress as that one won't fit me 2 kids later!0 -
I've worn black to a wedding with leopard-print shoes and bag and nobody batted an eyelid so I think black accessories will be fine (My own wedding dress was also black lace with red satin underneath.)Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100
