RV Hire America

Hi,

Myself, husband and two year old daughter are planning a three week drive across America for our honeymoon, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good RV company, possible one that doesnt charge a one way fee, as we will need to pick up in Cali, and drop off NJ or NY.

If any one has any tips, or warnings, it would be most appreciated!

Thank you!

So 3000 miles, in a camper, over 20 days = 150 miles a day, so almost 4 hours in the van driving. And thats a direct route seeing just long boring roads.
  • 62 hours travelling all in all. But thats doing Americas 55 mile an hour limit, pretty sure we'll go a little faster!

I know a couple will be 10 - 12 hour journeys too, so will be done over the night.

    Any suggestion on RV companies?

55mph limit? Most interstates are 70mph.

The miles just fly by when driving in the US..unlike in the UK where it takes all day to drive a few miles up the road.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

One warning - on my first tour to the US I was surprised to find the RV camp sites were usually next to trailer parks.

I am not making a sweeeping statement, but there may be some dodgy people around.
