Tyre companies often change the rubber compound (and therefore performance) of a tyre without changing the name. So tests from different years may not be comparing identical tyres. Yes, it is a stupid system!
I wouldn't trust user review of tyres at all, but tests carried out by the likes of ADAC, Autobild etc I do take seriously. They obviously aren't flawless, but they provide the best information available.
Edit: tyres of different sizes can also perform differently.0 -
