Surely no-one in their right mind is going to pay this amount for a photo:

Firstly, noone would spend £29,000 on a real torch (certainly not from fleebay)
Secondly, if it was a reasonable price then you probably would get some idiot bidding on it as we all know the general public either cannot read or don't read the description.:rotfl:0 -
Bidding started at 99p.Your biggest asset is TIME! I'm focused on multi-generational financial freedom.0

You say that, but there are several genuine torches listed, and they are well up on bids too.0 -

Quite reasonable price for a photo, but been watching the bidding for the last hour or so, and its getting silly now! Either someone is having a wind-up amongst fellow eBay friends, or there's going to be one very disappointed winning bidder!0 -
I love this question and answer
Q: how tall is the torch many thanks
A: the torch is 800mm, but the photo I am selling can come in lots of different sizes:D

Who bids that much without reading the description! It says it's a photo more than once and the seller has been clear in the Q&A too!
"Questions and answers about this item

Q: Am i bidding on a photo of the olympic torch or the actual olympic torch used in the relay? Thanks
A: a photo as per the description

Q: Hi,is this just a photo of the torch you have for sale and not the torch itself
A: just the photo"
That said it was misleading to list it not mentioning photo in the title and hoping someone would make a mistake. Would the buyer have any comeback under the circumstances?0 -
It's up to £30k now!
P&P a bit steep for a photo!~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Up to £100,000! I can't believe these bidders are really under the impression they are bidding for the real thing. Perhaps they're having a laugh, like the seller!
I bet we'll read about this one in the papers... "Dumb seller and dumber bidders meet on eBay!"
I wonder if the seller will be laughing when as well as gaining nothing, their eBay account is shut down?"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.
...If you can fake that, you've got it made."
