I read down that thread, Guys Dad, and you see? I'm not hysterical or bigoted either. Many many other UK Vf customers have been given the same treatment as me, by their overseas customer call centre. They posted about it on that forum; I posted about it here.

There was no point me threatening to leave, I'm apparently locked in to a 2 year contract with ~18 months still to run. That means they'll be making £400 on a phone which is no longer in use.

I've also checked other mobile providers in this area and reviews of them. They're all the same. The internet is full of complaints about all the alternatives (as well as this one).

The final "laugh" is that within minutes of me putting the landline phone down on sensible Barry who sorted everything out, that phone rang. It was Vodafone with a 'customer satisfaction survey'.

I put the phone down. :)
