from the sounds of it he won't cough up any extra, you say the csa has gone down is that due to him having the kids overnight, - gets reduced 1/7th of the weeks rate, if he has the kids.

If your unsure about what you should be recieving, ask the CSA to check it. x

It really totally depends on the actual amount of maintenance he is paying. If he is already contributing a fair amount, that amounts to at least half what your children actually cost you in total, then I think it would be unreasonable for your to ask.

It also very much depends whether he is happy with his son to do football. It might be that he would have preferred him to do ballet (being humourous!) and therefore it wouldn't be fair to expect him to pay for an activity he doesn't support.
  • I give my ex letters from school and hand him payment slips for school clubs etc. without actually saying 'pay this'. That way he does it all himself, it gets done, he knows where his money's gone. Otherwise he would just complain about handing over the cash direct to me. I use this method whenever theres a school letter/other letter available to hand over!

    Well the update is this:

He has agreed to pay hald the footballs fees and has agreed to pay something towards the passport. He did sound like he had a drink in him when I asked him again (manged to get him at the end of a phone call with kids).

All you doubters - what are you like??? (joking btw) lol

Getting him to agree after he's had a drink and actually handing the money over may be two different things.

Send him a copy of the letter and ask if he wants to pay them direct or add it to your maintenance.

He makes me send round food on the days he has them after school so he can given them dinner. If I don't do this, he gives them a biscuit to tide them oer till I get them after work at 6pm.

I wouldn't send my kids round with that attitude.

That's not tight or stingy, that's nasty..... calls himself a father does he?

    Happy moneysaving all.

Sorry but I agree! I wouldn't do that to a child that wasn't mine, let alone my own child!!! Mum would often end up with an extra kid or two at dinnertime in our household growing up, she just fed them and sent them on their way. "Common these days" or not I think that behaviour is disgusting and had to comment as I was so outraged.

Loads of people have said this (I make no secret of the fact he makes me do it). Some people have even commented on how they would have to divy up their own dinner to some of the extra friends who were tagging along.
