FWIW I'm running version 3.3.2 (I presume is the same version you're running, although in your OP you refer to version 3.2.2) on one of my sites without issues, and a test blog post appeared as I would expect.
The problem could be related to the version of PHP your host is running, but could equally be something to do with the version of wordpress your host has deployed (most 'one-click' installs (e.g. Scriptaculous/Softaculous etc.) tend to be customised versions. I always avoid these and run with a clean manual install). Looking in the Changelog / release notes to see what's different about this version might give a clue as to what's amissHow do I add a signature?0 -
It must have been to do with Softaculous. Told the hosting people and they said to instal a plugin - Add Google Libraries or something - and that fixed it.
Now trying to work out how to restore the backup of the site that I deleted in order to reinstal wordpress!0 -

Presumably the backup option you used in Softaculous also has a restore option. How do I add a signature?0 -
No, I don't think it does. I'm struggling with this!0

Where did you find the option to backup?
Also where did you save the backup to (e.g. on the web server or to your PC)How do I add a signature?0 -
Have you still got the database? If so then you can upload the database to the new site via phpmyadminEstate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0
