Off to take the kids skiing, then back to see clients, then back to the bar job........may get chance to catch up a bit later, but in the meantime, have a good day.

Be warned........I am planning my next phase in my life as a DFW.......get ready for a ramble in due course (of the long post sort, not of the nice walk in the country sort!).

I look forward to the ramble too.

You give me ideas for my own debt-busting, and of course inspiration. If Hypno is working half a dozen jobs, who am I to complain about an inconvenient MS? ;)
  • morng, or even afternoon! Happy December which is great for me as means 19 days to pay day, which with the state of my bank account & lack of Christmas shopping cant be a bad thing! The schedule comment referred to your schedule, not mine! Mine has consisted of nothing for the last 2 weeks, other than the odd moan about bodily functios. Tres dull! Good luck re the ski fund...does this continue year on year or is it just this year? Good news re clients - money after all, no matter which day!

Grr, typed a great long post, then lost it!!

Basically, I am almost at the point where I have been here a year (MSE, that is) so it is time to reflect, and reassess.

So, over this weekend, I will be putting together an "honest and open" list of everything we owe, including things that haven't been included for the purposes of MSE before such as secured loans and overdrafts, etc. Then I will be putting it in the snowball and working out realistic figures - ones that won't kill me trying, but that will motivate me to get rid of this horrid burden.

Targets will be made, short term, and not so short term, and hopefully some plans as to how I am going to achieve each element given the madness and the unknown quantities that make up our lives. I will prob start Hypno's diary - the sequel, to take me into my second DFW year.

Am at work now, just having a coffee and a plate of chips before making a start.....so will update things later.

Hypno, you are very brave to tackle that "honest and open" list. I am looking forward to reading it. I have learned a lot from you already so hope to learn from you how to tackle the next stage too.

I'm glad there's a number of us all feeling the need to go a bit deeper.

Hi hon, to avoid losing your posts tick the remember me box next to log in, seems to work for me.
I'm glad that you've decided to put the other bits in, not for our benefit but for yours, so you can really see it decreasing as i know how much it gets you down.
have a great afternoon, so glad it turned out to be a lovely day today, better than staring out of the windows at the gloomy rain.
