The next lot has to be in by Christmas. Better get working :D

Just done DVLA online tax disc thingy - so so simple!! Sadly, no on-line discounts, or ability to go through quidco.

  • How much is the next installment? not the full £4k?

I love online car tax buying, so much easier..... and the disc turns up in a couple of days....

i'll exclude myself from the first to learn spreadsheets bit, i work on excel all day every day, i'm one of those sado's who has every eventualitly or permiability covers just in case. I do use Quicken to run my personal accounts on though, used it for year in an old company, infact we abused it beyond it's limits so though it's very simple it's also very useful.

    Hiya Hypno
Sorry to ask you to repeat yourself but what is the skiing for? I know it's for your children but I can't remember what the trip was and your diary is a little long for me to go back and find out. Sorry my memory isn't what it was. There you go....you can sell me some memory too! xx

Not the full amount, but £2.5k for the next instalment.

LJD, hi!! The children are race training and schooling in France, with a few international races thrown in to keep them on their toes!! They have already done a week in Austria last month, and go out to France in the new year. Sadly there is no way possible we can run to doing the whole season, or even half of it, so this is the compromise we have (or are trying to) reach!

Lemon Tree - I would love to know more about spreadsheets, I am pretty clued up on most things, but not on those!!

That sounds fantastic Hypno. You are one fab mum doing that for your children and with your determination it will happen. Makes me feel bad moaning about trying to find £50 for DDs school piano lessons by next Friday. I know i'll find it I just get annoyed that they only give a weeks notice. Hope we get to see piccies eventually xx

I could bore the most boring person in the world about them hypno. In one job when i was at a lose end i created a huge work sheet with links here there and everywhere, calculated minimum payments and everything, even flagged me warnings if was going to go over the overdraft. Looked wonderful but still kept getting further into debt!

I have a very basic spreadsheet - whichever way I look at it though, it says I am skint :rotfl:
