Morning all! Thanks for the posts over the last day or so - really helped me to keep sane, if such a thing is possible!!

Today was supposed to be a bit of a family day, before OH goes to work in his second job at about 2.30 - I had planned roast chicken for dinner, and the Norwegians were expected to go at 10.

However, the Norwegians are still here......and OH has had a call out to work!

So, the best laid plans...............

Also, it is the 1st of the month and I want to update my totals because of the loan repayments that come out on the 1st, but because it is a Sunday they won't come out until tomorrow so can't update until then!

Hello hypno! Just been catching up with the last few days on your diary.

Have they gone yet? I totally empathise with you when you want your space back. I am happy to accommodate people for a night or two but I totally treasure my own space and am always somehow calmer when they go. I like people to feel comfortable and welcome to help themselves to drinks or whatever *but* there is a limit isn't there?

Well I hope they go soon - I bet you will be ecstatic when they're outta there.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY too (somewhat belated -sorry) and yay:T for 17 years!

Ooooh, reindeer meatballs! They eat Rudolph!? (Mind you I am veggie so it's all the same to me! :rotfl:)

Hope that £200 cheque turns up very soon.

Well done also on the choccie resistance - especially over such a trying time.

Well, my guests have gone and we now have July and August to ourselves :j

Had a lovely roast dinner before OH left to go to work and I have made some flapjacks for pack ups. Will make some cheese straws and fruit scones later on for tea, with plenty to go in the freezer.

Meal plan for the next week is all done along with the shopping needed for the week. OH has put something else on ebay as well, so hopefully that will go well.

Now I have stopped and sat down I want to go to sleep..........but my Mother is coming round in a few mins so.........

Love her to bits, but quite fancy time to myself this afternoon. Just hope I don't come across as miserable - that is not the way I want to be, just having got the guests out of the way it would be nice not to have to think of anyone else - just for a little while!!

sorry to hear your solitude was interrupted.... hope you get some peace this week.

We went out to a 'green fair' at a local park. I took our neighbour's children and it was shocking how much money they had been given to blow on rubbish. I stuck to my guns in not giving my kids any money, they just had to enjoy the free stuff (of which there was lots). I could see the other two kids thinking what a mean old witch I was.

I hope July is looking good for you. I'm going to be working hard, so let's hope the month brings us both a step nearer to our 35k target.

Hellloooo - we are on our own!!! Mum didn't stay too long - she has a mountain of ironing to do. It was nice to see her and I hope I didn't come across as uncaring earlier!

So have made some flapjacks for lunchboxes and cheese straws which we have had hot from the oven for tea, and some fruit scones are cooling with some more in the oven. I may have to sample one or two, just for quality control purposes you understand!

Two bids on ebay - a total of £1.98 but still almost 6 days left, so hopefully these will increase by a fair bit.

And now I have landed on the sofa......not to be moved..........except for the kettle (and the scones).........until bedtime!!

Thanks Taxi, sitting here with the Diana concert on and not really doing much else. The children are bickering, but they are in another room so I will just let them get on with it!

Hope you enjoyed your weekend. I expect it was worth all the tiredness!!
