If you are going primarily for the scenery go for Hurtigruten
If you are going primarily for the cruise with a bit of incidental scenery tacked on then go for a 'proper' cruise ship

I liked Hurtigruten because I really didn't want the full cruise experience. Plus I get stircrazy very quickly (resorted to laps of the deck) and as they do lots of ferry stops, you can get off regularly and mooch around, even if it's only for an hour or so.
I'd also second checking out prices before you get there - a hotel bill for 2 steaks and 2 beers was over £70.:eek:All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
