It was me about 2 weeks ago, its a long time in tesco land. I found the radox glitch as well.

Roll on tomorrow afternoon when we get the new offers, hopefully there'll be another glitch.

The expiry date of the offers also appears at the bottom of the BOGOF shelf edge label in very very small print that I can just about see without my glasses.
The new offers appear online, on the tesco website, on the last day of the current offers.
So I am hoping to see the new offers tomorrow morning.

I HAVE REPLIED TO MOST PEOPLES REQUESTS ON SWAPS, ALL COUPONS ARE EITHER SENT OR GOING FIRST THING

on the other hand my fav cashier is on tommorrow and she never had a word said about my mega coupon usage last week - her store gets a lot of coupons anyway so its a good coupon day tommorrow for me, am hoping some swaps will turn up! just think i have overdone with food at the moment freezers are all full cupboards chocker blocker and more toiletries than my tiny local boots! I will however use my cc just cos she will scan all points coupons and i need a few more for my wedding rings so this will be last time on a big coupon shop;)
coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there
    (meaning under the buggy lol):D

what about self service till? can we use that instead of taking risk with a shop assistant who may not scan all the vouchers?

Be careful - if a cashier accepts a mountain of vouchers etc that's Tesco's acceptance of them fair and sqaure. If you manage to have lots accepted through a self-scan it can be seen that you were trying to buck the system.

    A cautionary tale:-

I know this was different because he was using the same voucher over and over but the same could be said of Somerfield vouchers etc and I'm not sure about what would be made of using numerous Tesco point coupons in this circumstance. Again if a cashier accepts them, I guess it would be fine but if you've got them through a self-scan I guess you could be accused of deliberately trying to buck the system??

    What does everyone else think?

I've been told that clubcard accounts amassing lots of clubcard points are very closely monitered. Very Big Brotherish!!

  • Hi jamied100 & welcome to MSE!

Basically, how many vouchers are accepted depends on the cashier you pick. Some are happy to scan anything you give them (young lads usually), others will say 'One only' or some other excuse :o

You can use more than one Quit Kit voucher, use one Toiletry AND one Beauty per £5 spend, depending on the product. Bath stuff (like Original Source £1.97 bogof at the mo) accepts both, so if you buy 6 of those you can use the £2.50 off £10 H&B, and 2x QK Toiletry and 2x QK Beauty, leaving you with some money off your other shopping too.

And yes, the blue clothing vouchers can be combined with the £6 QK clothing ones. Best value is to buy £60 worth of clothing (£35 mens/womens plus £25 kids), use all your blues and 2 QK clothings to get max money off. The Spring time ones have just finished, they could all be used together to get clothes for nearly free :D .

Furthermore, coupons from Tesco mags will only scan if you have bought the product, but manufacturers coupons from other magazines and papers will scan against anything. The trick is to find an SA willing to scan them for you ;) .

HTH and good luck with your money saving :D

poundsinbucks, many thanks to you, the threads on this topic is long and is hard to make heads or tail off if your a newbie.

Very interesting reading! You can see how these things turn into an obsession and it is very easy to think oh well if the tills are acepting it I am doing nothing wrong and that it is there fault for not fixing it. Maybe I'll start paying cash for my shopping from now on rather than using a card of any sort.

Today was a bit of a nightmare! All my own fault though.

Asked SA if I could combine various vouchers, off she went to check with supervisor, but I happen to know this supervisor is cool, and he said it was fine. So anyway, I did two transactions:
    2 x £1.78 dove soap
    2 x £1.18 dove soap
    2 for £2.50 Always freshelle

    Total after discounts: £5.46
    Used: £2 HB, 1x £1.25 QK (Toiletry) 1 x £1.25 QK (beauty) Paid: 96p

    2nd transaction (The nightmare one!)
    4 x £1.78 dove soap
    24p soap
    32p tesco toothpaste
Total: £4.12, I miscalculated! Argh! Only came to £7.68 before BOGOFS.

So only accepted £1.25 QK beauty and toiletry, so paid £1.62, which I guess isn't too bad, and I get to keep my last £2 HB till my next shop as I'm almost out of QK anyway! Boo! LOL. ALSO, I only purchased the toothpaste to test the 40p colgate voucher but forgot to use that as well, which added insult to the injury!

I did get a 100 point till spit on Always freshelle (how ironic) and 20 points on canned vegetables.

Also had a great refund today, which I was grateful for! I overhead some of the workers at CS talking about a customer who could of been better off with double the difference but opted to accept a £5 gift voucher instead! Hmmm

Need to go back tomorrow now, as I did something stupid as I was in a rush, but don't want to mention as it'll make me easily identifiable to my local!! They were great anyway and just said to pop along next time I'm in and they'll sort it :D

No goody bag today, but as I approached the pharmacy, the lady said "ooh I know what you're after, we don't have any yet, check back in a few days" :rotfl:

Welshy, where did you find this new pack! I feel as though I may faint! LOL

Hiya charlene - I found the packs at the end of the till, on a windowsill overlooking the car park ............. this store never usually has any vouchers at all so I was surprised to see them. I remember thinking they were trying to shift old stock then I was surprised when I opened them to see they were the new vouchers
