***NEW*** Tesco H+B vouchers and points coupon

Forgive me for asking these questions but I am new to the site and forum. I to am a Tesco obsessive and avid point collecter. I just wanted some clarity as I picked up the "quit smoking voucher pack" and H & B voucher pack yesterday.
1. Can more than one £1.25 voucher be used at a staffed till? Can they be combined and used with H & B even if you only spend £8? Can the charles worthington vouchers be used even if you don't buy this product? Do you have to use a self service till?
2. Vouchers in general, can you use a voucher from a newspaper at Mr T's even though you don't buy that product. For example 50p off cheese yet you havn't bought any cheese? if yes - do you have to use self scan service?
3. Lastly can the blue clothes vouchers be used with "quit smoking" clothes vouchers even if you only spend £30?
Sorry for the questions, I would be very grateful if somone could offer be some clarity.
Cheers
Hi jamied100 & welcome to MSE!
Basically, how many vouchers are accepted depends on the cashier you pick. Some are happy to scan anything you give them (young lads usually), others will say 'One only' or some other excuse
You can use more than one Quit Kit voucher, use one Toiletry AND one Beauty per £5 spend, depending on the product. Bath stuff (like Original Source £1.97 bogof at the mo) accepts both, so if you buy 6 of those you can use the £2.50 off £10 H&B, and 2x QK Toiletry and 2x QK Beauty, leaving you with some money off your other shopping too.
And yes, the blue clothing vouchers can be combined with the £6 QK clothing ones. Best value is to buy £60 worth of clothing (£35 mens/womens plus £25 kids), use all your blues and 2 QK clothings to get max money off. The Spring time ones have just finished, they could all be used together to get clothes for nearly free.
Furthermore, coupons from Tesco mags will only scan if you have bought the product, but manufacturers coupons from other magazines and papers will scan against anything. The trick is to find an SA willing to scan them for you.

Ok people I just got back from Tesco where i picked up 80 £2off£8 H&B leaflets. (dont worry I left 920 leaflets for others who shop there!)
Will send out 8 lots of 10 to anyone who sends me a SAE (usually dont ask for SAE but this would cost me a lot)
Any takers :rotfl:

what about self service till? can we use that instead of taking risk with a shop assistant who may not scan all the vouchers?0

Just come back rather peeved from Mr T's. I got 4 x Dove handcream and some deodorant to take it over a tenner and the till accepted NONE of my money offs. The young lad tried both quit kit ones, the £2.00 off £8.00 and the £2.50 off £10.00 - all beeped and were refused.Though 4 x 50 points on £2.00 went through -it's rather put me off
me thinks he didn't hit the total button first as the till beeps that it can't scan it as goods(cos it is not goods - its a coupon) , so the coupons would not have gone through, just try again another daycoupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there(meaning under the buggy lol):D0 -
they had quit kits on pharmacy counter and the new H & B vouchers on aisle end table - but assistant was giving them out so only got 3.
Also Sugar Puffs in stock - but only ging thru as BOGOF now.0 -

A lot of Self Service tills are set up to only allow a certain amount of vouchers through and will need an SA to approve your coupons at some stage. This varies from store to store, as does the coupon policy. So it's trial and error really.
I find it helps to mix up the coupons when using the H&B ones, so you do not have two of the same in a row IYSWIM. When you try two the same in a row the till usually beeps, even with point ones. I also always start with the biggest coupon, like the £2.50 HB first, then £1.25 QK toiletry, £1.25 QK beauty, 50pt, £1.25 QK toiletry etc...

Unfortunately self service tills will ask for authorisation, and you are more likely to be refused.
Before Christmas, I used hundreds of coupons on SS tills, and would never have believed "manned" tills were easier. At the time i wouldnt have dreamt of using a "manned" till......but now wouldnt go back.
You definately need to use "manned" tills for multiple coupon use, most SA's are ok.....but take advice on "who" to look out for.Couponing....."every little hurts"

Are mens razor blades classed as H & B / toiletries?
Thinking of using the £2.50 off £10 coupon from So Beautiful booklet.
And against my better judgement, i drove to Derby to visit the only Tesco with a pharmacy for about 30 miles.......only to find no Quit kits.....I even asked but all gone
