Wow - never had posts removed from a thread before - it did get down to a bit of a slanging match which was never the intention of this thread although I only through threw one punch lol

Lily, come and live with me, I'd soon cure you!! ;) I hate shopping with a passion - any shopping, I find it a complete waste of time. On the odd occasion I have to go (clothes shopping that is) I know exactly what I want and where to get it from, so head straight to that shop! :) It does help that I don't follow fashion, and there are only a couple of shops who stock my kind of clothes! :D

Names pass me by, I've no idea what a Radley bag is, and wouldn't know one if it fell in front of me! The way I look at it is, unless the name (of anything) is displayed all over it so other folk can see it (which TBH is the name of the game!!:D) does it matter who makes/designs it? So long as it looks good and fits, won't fall apart first wash, then I couldn't care less if it was D & G or George @Asda's! :)

I'm slightly OCD about having nice round numbers in my savings account so I only tend to transfer money in when I can afford £50 or £100. I might try to switch the OCD to my current account and do what you do, I bet it adds up quite quickly and you don't really miss the little amounts, am I right?
    ...

That's me :D. It's the odd bits that get transferred into a savings acc held with my current account provider, so if I get too close to overdraft I can transfer it back quickly, although I do have to ignore the non-round figure that's in there!* (If it's towards the end of the month and things are looking a little tight I'll leave the round pounds and just move the pennies, but you're right about not noticing. If you have £104 you 'see' it as £100 anyway so why not tuck it out of the way?!)

*I have a handful of ING accounts for things like self- insurance/ vet fees/ Christmas etc. When I get paid interest I shuffle it around so that as many accounts as possible have a zero on the end. Sometimes I worry myself :rotfl:
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

We do save the change - Lloyds automatically round up purchases and you can elect which account to have that in (for us it's our holiday fund)

We have pocket money each month which is what I would normally just save up and spend, but this month, I did spend a bit more than I had so "borrowed" it from our savings - which is not good hence the post :(

Can you post a pic of yourself in the fishnets please? Purely for research purposes ;)
If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused

I just got a "yellow card" from the moderators regarding a post I replied to the OP a few days ago.

My comment had no sympathy for the OP but was removed and I've been warned.

I think it's bang out of order that newbies don't have the same rights as regular posters, as my post was not offensive as many I've seen on here written by long term members.

So I go back to my point, don't exclude posters from participating in the forum unless they are rude and overtly offensive - everyone has a right to opine without needing to become defensive.

I'll say it again, if you can't afford it don't buy it. Shopping for expensive goods, without the need for them, is not a medical illness, it's greed.

But if you work hard and earn enough money to buy these things without getting into debt, so what?

Posting about your lingerie purchases screams "attention seeker" to me.

Exactly what I thought! :) Made me think the OP was waiting for people to come back with some replies regarding the fishnets and, guess what...

It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?

Then fine, but OP admitts its not good for her bank balance and it's becoming a problem for her. If she's not Mrs Rooney and doesn't have that kind of income, then she cannot spend willy nilly. It's not like it's a necessity to buy expensive brands.

Fishnets aren't that expensive either, apart from who would want to wear them out of the bedroom in this day and age, who's going to get the chance to look up that close anyway to see the label.
