02 nightmare when requesting PAC
After phoning 02 last week and being offered no satisfactory deals I phoned again yesterday morning to request my PAC.
When I got through I was offered a good Sim Only deal they didnt offer last time which I was happy to accept 11.50 per month and I could upgrade at any time.
After ending that call really happy with the deal I got a voicemail saying there had been a mistake they cant offer that promotion and to call back if I want my PAC code.
I called straight back and was then put on hold and told I needed to wait for someone to call back to sort put my PAC even though the voicemail told me to call them...
Someone calls me back with PAC and says they have cancelled the upgrade onto the SIM only contract which confused me as I wasnt eligible for the promotion anyway but the advisor said everything was OK and I could just carry on and use my PAC as long as it was within 30 days.
Last night I logged onto my 02 account and could see I had been put onto a 15.50 sim only contract I most definately did not agree to and wasnt even dicussed on any of the calls that morning so I rang up to query what was going on as the contract showing on my account was a 12 month contract!!
When I called up again the girl said it was a mistake the previous advisor was aware of and they had already asked a manager to cancel it. I said this was fine but is there anyway I can check when this had happened, the girl said phone on Monday and they will comfirm that your account is cancelled!
I dont want my account cancelled! I just want things to stay as they were until I port my number out this week when my giffgaff sim arrives! If they cancel my account by Monday I wont be able to do this!
The girl then put me on hold for about twenty minutes and said she was converting my account back to how it was and that it would be as if this mornings call hadnt happened and as long as i port my number out within 30 days it will be fine and my 02 account would be updated in a couple of hours to show it as what it was previously.
Logged in this morning its still showing me on the contract I didnt ask or agreed to! Is this going to be a case of ringing and ringing until its sorted? I just dont want them to cancel my account before i get to move my number!

02 customer services is an absolute shambles, called back to query why im still on this contract what i didnt get told about let alone asked if i wanted it! Apparently they cant change me back onto what i was on originally and also from their records couldnt see why i was put onto this new contract but there was nothing they could do about it. Apparently its been flagged so im not tied in for 12 months and should still be able to use PAC code but i will be on this new tarriff til then which is far from unsatisfactory and they have only given me 30 minutes to last a week as they are pro rata-ing the new contract for the last week of my billing date
She kept stressing i have a 14 day cooling off period with the new contract anyway so not to worry, what they dont seem to grasp is i never asked for any other contract other than the original retentions deal i was happy to accept and no other deals were evn discussed so the original advisor seems to have taken it upon themselves to pluck this contract out the air and put me on it!
I just cant wait for my new sim to arrive and ill be transferring as soon as possible, so much for loyalty or good customer service after paying nearly 40 quid every month to them for the last 7 years grrr0 -
Your account only gets cancelled/closed when the pac code is used.0

Or if they terminate the contract which they were going to do to the contract they put me on but didnt agree too... They stated this would mean my account over this weekend which would mean i dont have a chance to use my PAC0

on O2 many moons ago, agreed to stay with them on simplicity but managed to get unlimited web/internet thrown in.
When they tried to charge, I simply clicked "FORWARD" button on my e-mail client.
Though you loose the "speaking to a person" feel but
