No it doesn't. I says that you have UP TO 6 years to make a claim. It makes no statement about how long an item should last because there are too many variables to be taken into account.

I have had three contracts with VM for four years now and always found their CS and repair center excellent.
A few months ago I sent DDs BB off for repair but confessed that it had fallen down the toilet 6 months before. No problem, they took it in for repair and sent out a refurb.
Last week I sent it off as the screen went white and within four days had received another refurb.
At the same time my DS sent his BB off as it kept shutting down. They sent him a refurb too. The contract is nearly up on it as well.
My Htc wasn't holding its charge last year so I phoned to see if I could buy a new battery from them. They said no they dont sell them but credited my AC £20 to go and buy it myself.

I'm gad to here you are getting an excellent service from VB nibs, and truly mean that but was wondering if you go out hot air ballooning with "The Sir RB" himself to be treated this way :D

I would guess that the real reason for your excellent after care service is probabaly down to your contract being of more value to them.., after all this is a business.

I'm on the cheapest one possible for a BB as most people usually contact me on my work phone and I only need the BB for a few private calls.

Still have to charge it every couple of days though :(
  • To update this thread, my contract ends tomorrow :)

VM mobile after care services was just not caring enough from my experience with them during the 2 years contract :(

I decided not to waste my time complaining to VM Mobile any further as I will not be renewing my contract with them.

Had to purchase a 2nd battery and charger from ebay, luckily for under a tenner to continue using my contract allowance, how's that for service under contract :(

I did get some satisfaction though, when terminating my contract with them. :)

Now looking for a company that honer their contract for the full term of the agreement.

Sorry VM Mobile but from my experience with you there are other companies providing a better after care service for thier customers. :p
