Clarification: Cancellation/Contract Months
My contract is soon to expire with Three on the 30th June. I have been talking to both Vodafone and O2 but I can't afford to pay for two contracts at once so I told them to contact me on the 1st June.
If I arrange to have my PAC code on the 1st June will I still have to pay for that remaining month? Will I still have to pay for two contracts when I sign up to the new one with the PAC code?
Cheers.

Yes, you pay for this month even if you port the number out earlier. If I arrange to have my PAC code on the 1st June will I still have to pay for that remaining month?
Yes, unless you start the new contract at the end of June. Don't leave it to the very last day though as the PAC expires in 30 days. Will I still have to pay for two contracts when I sign up to the new one with the PAC code?0 -
Thanks for the speedy reply.
So it would be best to start the new contract on the 29th June so I could terminate that day and only have one day that is not used? Do you think the competitors would allow me to use their phone before this date (would they agree to the contract being signed and not to bill until the 29th?).
I remember that's how it worked with 'upgrades' but I understand these are different networks.0 -
Highly unlikely you can use it early - you'll have a changeover day when new will start and the old will cease.0
