For those that think Pat's Petition is only supported by the 37,000 who signed - here is a letter in the Guardian initiated by Pat Onions of Pat's Petition along with all the other groups and charities that support the statement -

Ah, I wondered where Rotoguys (or whatever his name was) had gone.....

Let me elaborate, Andy (or Rotoguy) or whatever account he's using today is of the opinion that many people have been on this 'gravy train' and now it's time to get off. What he fails to mention is that he will no doubt lose his award when it's next up for renewal but this is a moot point as he'll be at retirement age so can manage without it. So, because he knows that he will no longer qualify having had many good years on this benefit, we're now all thieves and should be made to suffer.

Take a look at the posting history, last 10 days he's built up a considerable post count, every one of those posts are designed to wind people up. As I have said previously to one of your alter-egos, go get a life with your lovely pension plan, I do hope that you don't suffer too much when they discover that you yourself is a sponger and indeed one that's actually proud to admit it. I do believe in karma, good luck. :)

Quite honestly whatever we do won't make any difference to what is planned.

IDS isn't a fool, his comments make very uncomfortable reading, but they are in the main honest opinions as he sees it.

Something needs to be done and going for the jugular is probably the best way forward.

Its getting bad when the gvt are proposing abolishing part time working hours for everybody and expect all people to work a minimum of 30 to 35 hours a week, why should we put up with the drivel Cameron and his cronies are proposing in the next 12 months.

The french dont they go on thew revolt so why should we sit here on our backsides and let dictatorship and the poshtoff win.?

and i quote from an article

"Part time work, under the changes coming when Universal Credit is brought in, will no longer be an option. Everyone will be expected to work 30 hours a week – or possibly 35 if ministers get their way – and will have benefits sanctioned if they are not deemed to be doing enough to increase their hours."

    Its not good!

    Why isn't it?

I have never worked less than 37 hours a week. That is what was at one time, a normal working week.

    Then along came WTC's.

Go part time, collect additional welfare payments = same level of income!!! You must be mad to work more than 16 hours a week!!!

And when people say that there just aren't any 35 hour jobs about only 16 hours a week.

Why not take three jobs at 16 hours each and work a 48 hour week??

Many self employed chose to cut the hours they worked purely down to the WTC. Why work 5-6 days a week when you could work 3 and have the remainder of the week off and still take home the same money. I've been self employed for over 25yrs and it really was pathetic to see.

Well done Mr Cameron , I'm not a fan of the Tories in general but this one they got right...

Never seen so many self emplopyed AVON/Betterware collectors......

Pat's Petition is more than just a petition and is getting together various groups to have a CIA-D Cumulative Impact Assessment for Disabilities, something the Government should have done before introducing all these changes but refuses to do -http://carerwatch.com/reform/?p=942
