Does applying for an overdraft add a credit check?

    They pull data from the CRA on a monthly basis from experian so unlikely if you're pre-approved with them that they'd do a live credit check that other lenders can see and will use what they already know about you I'm guessing.

    Lloyds should be able to tell you under their risk band section whether or not they can increase your overdraft. This check does not involve a credit check.

    For Natwest they do a credit check even if you are DECREASING your overdraft!!
    A lot of fellows nowadays have a B.A., M.D., or Ph.D. Unfortunately, they don't have a J.O.B."
