Haribo Trick Or Treat Bucket (720g)
In case anyone sees these is store, while they previously scanned at 1p, they are now scanning at £2.50.
Barcode ends in 0448, BBE 07/12.
They had a load in a local store. The SEL said £2.50, but I thought I'd check the price at the till.

Calmspirit, I used to work for british gas and you can get way more than £50! What they have done is broken OFGEMS code of practice for accurate billing.
Bit more about that here:
http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/making-a-complaint/dealing-with-energy-suppliers/your-rights/
I was about to suggest you escalate your complaint but I see you already have done. Good on you for fighting your corner. I used to hate calls where an exchange had been done incorrectly, nightmare for all involved so I can understand how you feel.

hi Beki
thanks for that.....I have been reading up lots and intend to complain with all my facts in order! Am currently reading ofgems code of practice :rotfl::rotfl:
I reckon I used more than £50 extra in boiling kettles etc due to turning of my gas in fear of costs! Maybe I am being greedy but if they had suffered the winter me and my kids did then they would want more than that too!YNWA JFT96 :A0 -

Sorry Martin, but we ain't all got 86m in the bank and need deals like this to get by from week to week...........I'm all for helping people but sometimes you really need to know when something SHOULDN'T be broadcast to the world!
This has been mentioned before, (when he announced on GMTV a reprintable coupon for £6 which the world and their dog printed off and so directly led to Tesco only accepting coupons when you buy the items) and will no doubt crop up again.
Posts were deleted then, I know at least one of mine was, and so it's probably best left undiscussed. Martin's standpoint is that he doesn't want MSE to be cliquey and wants to share all [STRIKE]our hard searched for [/STRIKE]MSE member's finds with the world. It's his site and all info on it belongs to him (well maybe moneysupermarket now, but ykwim) so he can do what he likes.

Definitely vodafone, but don't know if it was the network themselves or a reseller. I was having a think about the pitiful offer of £50 which EDF say you would get if it's decided they have messed up your bill for a number of years, and I remembered reading about a % interest which can legally be added to a reclaim of debt. (I read about this when the reclaim bank charges started back in 2007).
Scouring the forums led me to this piece of legislation here which Martin quoted to allow people to add 8% (statutory interest) if they won their claim in court. This law is not related to bank charges, it's about reclaiming a debt and I would certainly use it when you are thinking about any offers you are sent. (you might suggest you'd get a better offer if you went to court, kind of thing)
Now, if it were me, I'd be thinking it was a bit complicated and scary and I don't want to take an electric company to court, but I would suggest you maybe ask for some advice from the legal bods over on the reclaim charges thread (there's no real main one I could think of that's more useful) or maybe consumer rights?
If the amount that is owed turns out to be substantial I think a visit to a solicitor is in order. Your family were very cold over the last winter as a direct result of EDF's incompetence. That's wrong and they should apologise. TBH an audit to make sure they are not scalping any other customers is needed too!
Would you mind being featured on Watchdog as I reckon that's probably a good way to get compensated for your winter discomfort, and to help others who may also be suffering in the same way.0 -
Hi everybody just been for a whoopsie run, got some fruit, and meat cheap at local Mr S and C*op. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the evening despite this glorious weather we are having.Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.0

I don't watch Watchdog, so didn't know, but I'm sure they would like to know it's still going on!! Especially as Calmspirit had previously asked them about it and they'd checked (not very well obviously) and said no.

I was proper miffed yesterday and it caused me a bit of a sleepless night.
Found Jubilee Cava in !lkeston yesterday with ood sel so paid full price and trotted off to CS. A manager authorised dtd but in muscles a big cheese who wouldn't be budged from refund and sell to me at lower price so accepted this with intention of ringing head office.
Head office cs were very pleasant and agreed I was entitled to dtd but they needed to ring the store. When she rang back her tone had changed significantly and she stated wouldn't overide the store decision as I was abusing the system as had a dtd once before. She ended by saying 'I have to inform you this incident has been logged' hmmm that's my card marked then
Question - do peeps use their real name & address when ringing CS?
This kind of thing makes me
If this is their attitude maybe they should change their CS signage to:
"In the event that things don't add up, we'll refund double the difference.
But only once... if we overcharge you more than once please feel free to take this matter up with Trading Standards who will probably then fine us £5000 for each overcharge"0
