afternoon guys and gals
havent caught up yet although I believe theres uproar over the Ben & Jerrys and Chicago Town no longer comparing favourably
I planned my shopping earlier...checked everything and bought 4 lots of each.....and then it took an age to get it all in the freezer
Mentioned to DH that we need to get another (we already have 3 lol)...had a quick look on Gumtree and saw a 6 drawer freezer listed an hour before...so rang them up and sent hubby to fetch itSo now have a huge empty freezer.....am praying the JTD works so I can stock up on ice cream and pizza
We have a pizza night usually 3-4 time a month, so will save us money instead of ordring a takeaway....unhealthy maybe, but everything in moderation is ok
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -

I wouldn't, just wait for the price checker to be fixed, and if any expire don't worry about it, more will come.Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -

been sitting at my laptop ALL DAY trying to balance bank account!
any of you lovely elite have experience of gas meter readings converting to KWh? I think I have found the reason why my gas bills are so high since moving to this house 2 years ago.
I had previously put it down to a carp boiler and we spent most of winter and ALL of this year freezing under blankets and boiling kettle for washing dishes....using electric shower for us! After the first year's bill nearly killed me!
Looking at the meter and the conversion factors to make that reading into KWh .......I THINK (and I may be very wrong about this) that EDF are doing a conversion based on imperial meter when in fact it is a metric meter.......MAJOR difference. The bills dont seem to show the calculation but google was my friend for this!
Looking at reading of 288 which was on just one bill last year......
Imperial method 288 units = 9057 KWh x3.353p=£303
Metric method 288 units = 3198 KWh x 3.353p=£107
The amount on my bill is £303 but my meter is METRIC ....despite having queried my bills with EDF for 2 years (based on previous costs for similar houses over many many years) nobody has ever mentioned this calcualtion.........could I be right? anyone know anything about these things before I make a fool of myself and query my bills YET again??:D
edit .....apologies for being OT yes i know there is another forum for this but i trust u lot! sorry for the long post too !
It won't do any harm to call them and explain.:beer:0 -
Evening all! I shoulda known the JTD on the pizza deal would be over - I finally bit the bullet, decided to go on my first JTD shop, and went and bought a couple of deals, so should have known I would give it the kiss of death!
Thanks to Laura-Cello I wandered to a Waitrose and got some strawberries cheap, though not as cheap as hers lol! I will start having a look there more regularly though!0 -

Mind, I expect this was before T's became aware of the problem. I may ring tomorrowEvery time I see B&J written on here it makes me have a naughty giggle:eek:;););):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
