It is way past my bedtime, I didn't realise the time. I hope you all enjoyed the rest of the evening.
Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.

    Eighth Anniversary Combo Breaker
looking to take a weeks holiday 1st week in August with my teenage daughter (nearly 18)
traveling from scotland so not too far down country

    stipulations are
driving distance or close to beach
town with shops lots of places to eat out at night
an area with alot of different tesco's (for me)
a cottage flat apartment not over £700 for week

    anybody got any suggestions?
if the weather was fab we would camp to make it more mse but 1st week in august might not be like this at moment.

p.s forgot to mention hubby coming too!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

any advice or help would be much appreciated as well as any suggested places xxxxxxxxx

For beaches I don't think Northumberland can be bettered but can't comment on the availability of Tesco's as this is a new obsession for me and I just didn't notice when we went up last summer.

I'd be more worried about HIV with something like that.

I did say tetanus was only one of my first thoughts. Not quite sure how you tell someone you don't know that HIV/Hep C would be more of a concern

I know if you ever cut yourself in the garden or on a rusty nail for instance, they would ask if you'd had a tetanus jab in the past 10 years.
If you got bitten by a dog you always had on too I think :)

See that's what I thought. I've no idea where that girl was coming from but she seemed a bit OTT in her "advice".

HIV does not live long outside the body so wouldnt worry about that and Hep has to go blood to blood mainly. (Im a care student) best get tetanus jab if in doubt

Poor bairn and worried momma xx

And that's the thing. If in doubt, always do the sensible thing. To come out and say what she did seemed a bit psycho. Ah sure, there's a few of them about so just best ignored ;)

First rule of posting when using a wi-fi dongle? Always check you are still connected before pressing submit, especially when you have just spent ages typing up a long post   So with that one lost, here I go again :o

We have had a lovely day today :j We went to see Alan's Dad and Sister, and just as we got there, his brother and sister-i-l arrived, so we had a cuppa and a right old chinwag. Mr 3Dogs Senior is in his 80's, not well, riddled with arthritis and lost loads of weight over the last few years, but he was cheered up by seeing us. Alan didn't like the conversation when it turned to football as all his family are Toon supporters but at least they didn't rib him about Sunderland today ;) We stayed about 2 hours and then went down to see Alan's youngest son, wife and family. We sat in the garden chatting and it was lovely as they'd got 2 ducklings 3 weeks ago and they were fab to watch in their run and pond. It got too much for Alan though so after about an hour we had to leave. We called in for fish & chips for Alan and cheesey chips for me and had them when we got back

Alan then had an hour's nap before coming with me to see Mam. My sister had doen the evening visit and I was just going to take her home, but we went a little earlier so Alan could go in and see me Mam for a few minutes. It had been a glorious day, though the cloud had started to come over by then, and the heat in the home hit Alan as soon as he went in so he struggled. I said to Mam, look who I've brought to see you Mam and Alan came in. Mam looked at him puzzled and said she didn't know who it was, so I said 'my man' as she calls him 'Alan', and she smiled and said 'Oooooh isn't he big' he is just under 6 ft. she then looked down adn said 'and he's got .... erm thingys' and I said 'yes, crutches as his back is bad at the minute' and she just smiled at him, saying 'Hello' back when he said 'hello Molly'

So Alan got to see all his family and even saw me Mam :j :j He was shattered though and, after watching the cricket highlights well done again England :j, he was off to bed and quickly fell sound asleep

We have decided to go home on Wednesday, so I rang the kennels and extended the dogs' [STRIKE]borstal[/STRIKE] holiday till then. Depending on how Alan is in the morning, we may go to Metro Centre as it is many years since either of us have been there, and we need to go see my brother again too or he will be feeling neglected :o
    :( Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12 :( 3Dogs'Mam 31-3-13 :(

Can't imagine how difficult it must have been for you. I'm happy they took it well.

  • evening everybody, just managed to catch up. I hope you have all had a good day and enjoyed the sunshine.
I Have had a lovely day day visiting my sis Auto armadillo.

I gave her some kitkats in return she gave me loads of soaks for me and balloons, fly killer, custard, and lots of other 1p items.

I felt very disappointed with my offerings.

I think I need to do lines like zippydooda along the lines of I must try harder to find 1p items.

Also my mum loaded me up with loads of books.
I hope you all enjoy the rest of the evening.

Hey sis I had a cool time as well now you'refully acquainted with all the dogs maybe the next time you're over you could do a spot of puppy-sitting:rotfl:

And the kitkats were a fair swap imho lol xx
We are many we are one xxx
