What you all doing today?
I wanna sort out the garden a bit more. It is sadly neglected. It is usually lovely be now so that entertaining can take place outside but this years demands have made it take a backseat.
Question peeps...
I haven't yet planted anything in my garden except wildflowers.
Are there any seeds that can still be planted in order to produce, well, 'Produce' such as salad, veg, etc?
I would like to start somethings off after spending all yesterday afternoon weeding my raised beds.
Thanks in advance, you knowledgable bunch.
JJ
It is a little late for tomatoes and peppers from seed, but you can still buy plants form tesco, b&Q (bogof on plants today) etc. and they should be ok, but would be best ina greenhouse.
Strawberies should alsobe ok from plants.
Seed wise, then go with sow and grow lettuces etc, spring onions and th elike.0 -

Not visited Mr T at all today, went to 2 yesterday and used 3x £5 off WYS £40 from the Manchester Evening News so thanks for mentioning it OP!!! Got 4x tins of Dulux paint whoopsied to £4.xx each, 16x 47p BOGOF ryvitas, 6x 87p coffee and £90 of whoopsies down to 90% off!!!!:D:D Loads of other stuff too that I had vouchers for including the BOGOF mushrooms and the Wenches, I was lucky enough to find some batteries;) so bought 6 got DTD and a goldie:D

Thanks for the reminder. Youngest in the same boat, so he needs to choose accommodation soon. Don't think I am so keen to go visiting as 150 & 200 miles away. I guess he will ask his mates where the good halls are. Bristol or Manchester depending on the grades.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Hope everyone is well today and enjoy the weather.
A couple of quick questions
Firstly, what items are classed as 'Fresh salad'?
and second, has anyone used the £1 off baby flop voucher with the double up?
could you get £10 worth of value baby wipes, use the flop and then the double up? (or the other way round) or do you have to spend £11 and then use the price flop then the double up?
Can you freeze mushrooms?
Anyone used the bakery and cakes flops together?
thinks thats it for now, wont ask about the 1p items as my local is pants
No u only need to spend £10
i doubled up £5 on baby
i got 2 x huggies pull ups £5.48 each (£2.75 in A's;) )
used £1 off PriceFlop
2x£2 off huggies nappies

All this talk about seeds, meant to put in my last post - I bought some Moneymaker tomato seeds from Lidl, planted them up, they duly came up (though not in the quantity I was expecting). Leaves were a bit strange but put it down to them being stunted by the cold weather. Have recently planted them on to my growbags and have come to the conclusion they are cucumbers!!! I have never grown cucumbers and am a bit annoyed they are not the tomatoes I was expecting (to say the least), have contacted the address on the pack but have heard nothing from them.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Edit - don't think they are cucumbers, not sure what they are to be honest! Guess I shall have to wait and see! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Overdid it on Friday, really thought I was recovery well from the op and went for a 20 minute walk. Got home and started to feel pain. Yesterday was a backward step and needed to double up on pain killers.
Every cloud has a silver lining, pain killer side effect is effects of the sun are stronger, so my tan should improve.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. 8x flora buttery =£15.50
5x vouchers £1 off £3 spend on any flora spread
To pay= £10.50
JTD= £7.60
Makes actual spend just £2.90
Each tub is therefore= 36p
What do you think?
Will the flora buttery compare?
It all depends whether you get a lenient check out operative I suppose!
Total spend
yes you can and they do compare i got them yesterday
i got 5 and used 3 vouchers but they say 1 per transaction on them so i went SS and worked fine:j0 -
I only used to watch Eurovision when Terry Wogan was the presenter (and I'm not the biggest Terry Wogan fan). Some of his jokes were 'pish poor' but his were hilarious. Eurovision was his forte.
I was listening to his coverage of the Eurovision on the radio last night. :rotfl::rotfl: He was very very good & funny & rude
