An early tea. Fresh pollack fried (in light olive oil) with a chopped chilli and a little salad.
The crab is struggling now so has been popped in the freezer and will be cooked very shortly.0 -

Whatever city we are in if they are famous for something food wise we will opt for that. In Vancouver it was seafood so I had lobster and Westie had crabs. We were in the poshest restaurant in Vancouver, and boy it wasn't cheap but we had to ask for help as we had never had it before. The waiter was only too kind to help but he said the body wasn't really edible.
always too much cutlery in posh nosh places and they always look at me strangely when I make a chip butty ...

Re BBQ meat
Some of the BBQ meats were on the end of the aisle at Lid Knee and had a 2 for £6 SEL. All the other BBQ meats had clearly had stickers removed (I did have a good rummage!) so they're obviously on the ball!
Shame as planning a BBQ, so even BOGOF would have been welcomed
However, I did manage to discover a DTD in the course of my normal shopping....
Red seedless loose grapes. White SEL £2.49 a kilo (Same as the offer they were on before.) Went through at £3.49 a kilo. DTD given without me mentioning it, (tho' complicated by it being a weighed item.)
SEL removed from this store, but may be worth a try elsewhere for fruit-fanciers out thereWorse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -

Yeah, we just stick to one set each and pile the rest up in the middle of the table which certainly raises a few eyebrows.:rotfl:
Never seen it as its not my thing but that just made my wallet go *ouch*.0 -

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ORDERED FROM GROUPON IN THE PAST
Could you please check your emails?
Some of you may have received an email entitled 'Super Deal Day: Ridiculously Cheap Offers Plus £5 credit!'
Just want to know if people have received the code for their free £5 credit?
EDIT: forgot to mention that the email may be in your junk folder and it would have been sent within the past 3 days (I think).:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

i got to the ward at 11.55am and was in theatre and 1.15pm :T:T.
the aneastic didnt want to do a general as i have a cold, and i told him i aint having a local. so we compromised, he did a spinal, sort of like a epidural, and i listened to my mp3 player, this had to go in a plastic bag.
i had a side room, due to a previous positive MRSA swab test.
i was waiting for my supper (5pm) when there was a tapping on my window, i looked up and the was a seagull sat there tappping the window. i started "chatting" with him. i asked the cleaner if i could hae a piece of bread for him. she [STRIKE]a grump[/STRIKE] said no. she said the woman that was in my bed had chucked her crusts out of the window, so the seagull would now wait for them, not realising she was no longer there. the seagull was getting impatient now and was pulling at its feathers. when i got my food i waited until no one was looking and gave the seagull a few bits.
2 mins before breakfast he arrived again. how does he know the time?
i am not meant to walk far, and keep my leg up. i have been given a stick to help me walk.
thanks for all the good wishes.
now off to catch up from yesterday morning.
Good to see you post mmw, hope your recovery is swift0
