As I said earlier, Mr 3Dogs too weak to go out today again, but he was much brighter when I got back from visiting Mam :D The plan is to both get up reasonably early tomorrow and get ready, then hopefully go to Newcastle to visit Hotel Chocolat ;) Will try to get a wheelchair from one of the Eldon Square Info Desks, so we can look around properly :D this is what he wants to do tomorrow. I think he is putting off seeing his Dad & Sister as his Dad will get so upset and Alan doesn't want that :(

We had our anniversary meal of ribeye steak (less £2 Price Flop), battered onion rings and salad (whoopsied of course). alan didn't want chips or potatoes so I thought the onions would be good and they were. Followed by clotted cream ice cream (price flop) and muffin for Alan and rasp turnover for me (both whoopsied of course). Lovely meal :D:D

I got to admit to getting a wee bit upset this morning, when Alan had to go back to bed and it was obvious he could go out anywhere today, and then talking to friends by text saying how weak he was. Then, the carers at Mam's home chose today to ask me about my hubby was as my sister had told them all that had happened, so was telling them with broken voice. They said they hadn't asked before in case he was really bad and I got upset

Today, it just sunk in that Alan is not going to get any stronger than what he is now :( The oncologist said months rather than years when he said he couldn't have any treatment and it was 3 months yesterday since his operation when they found the cancer. 3 MONTHS   It is just that these 3 months have gone so quickly ...... :( I am just so glad that he is not in any pain yet :(

I have been watching him closely and I have noticed that the whites of his eyes are pale blue-ish, just a tinge, but they are normally white ..... I think :o His eyes are brown by the way, so not a reflection. Is this normal? Am I looking too closely at things?

Sounds like you need a (((((hug))))) - you are both in my thoughts and prayers

Many congratulationson your Anniversary to Alan and Susan
I hope Alan is a bit better tomorrow but as Celebrate says it may just be that he has overdone things. What with the travel he's had lately and the emotional side too of seeing his dad.

Big (((Hugs))) to you both
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Just had a phone call from DD2 some stupid boy has thrown away all the fresh food that she had frozen because it was out of date.:mad::mad:

She has no time to go shopping as revising for end of year exams. And had stocked up for the next couple of weeks. She has lost chicken breasts, mince, 2 lots of sausages, peas to name a few things. He said the peas had been there ages but she doesn't use many at a time so a bag usually lasts her ages. The mince she only bought last week to make a lasagne for her friend's birthday. :(

She is not sure what he was trying to gain apparently he lives off frozen pizza and chips and could not find room but he threw away much more than the space he needed. On the plus side a box of frozen crispy chicken has turned up that she thought someone else had eaten. Guess he thought that was ok as was already frozen.

;)

What a donut and to think these kids are our future captains of industry!!

Some of these kids haven't got the brain they were born with!:(

Have you had an email or any other acknowledgement apart from the initial, 'we will check with the big lunch and get in touch' message (or words to that affect)? Just wondered if they let you know you are successful before you get the text 2 hours before

I filled in the big lunch form then the Carling one that said how many bottles I'd get, then I got this email:

Thank you for requesting a free Big Lunch pack.
Access the online version of the pack here.
We hope you like all the extra materials we've included this year. For more tips to help you start planning your event please visit our website.
We'd love to hear about your Big Lunch plans as they come together, just email yourstories@thebiglunch.com.
Have a fantastic Big Lunch 2012!

So hoping I've done it right!!;)But I'll give a big shout on here if I get a text to say it's coming:T:T:T:T
Not too sure how many of the Elite applied for it as it went a bit quiet and sort of got lost on the thread:(
