Well that was a long day, and nothing tesco related to cheer me up:(.
GP refused to visit my mum in the end, I couldnt wake her up enough to get her safely into the car, and when I did she was disorientated, but still in lots of pain (lots of pain killers, fentynol patches, oromorph plus new prescription for diazepam has wiped her out, but still in pain!!)
He did a telephone consultation over the phone, with me trying to wake her every 2 minutes to relay a question to her that he was asking, which seems a very bizarre way to assess a patient.
Since then Ive been round 3 times to make sure shes eaten, had a drink and gone to the loo, not to mention collecting the prescription for a new tablet he recommends instead of diazepam, and guess what, big warning on the front...may cause drowsiness! (wheres the 'roll eyes' smilie when you really need it!!)
Just had to call her again to make sure she takes her last lot of tablets tonight, think I need a break and a nice easy glitch to keep me going:(
That all sounds horrendous hun
It does remind me of once when my Mam & Dad where visiting us in P'boro a few years ago now, and Mam had a bad asthma attack. We called my GP out but by time he came she was much better. The next day she was much worse but when we rang and spoke to the same GP he told us to get her to the surgery and he'd see her there. We had to bring the car into our square, where cars aren't allowed and it is all paved, to get her in, and half carry her into the waiting room. The doc was coming out to reception when he saw her and we saw the look of shock on his face. He took us straight into a treatment room to put her on a nebuliser. He was ever so apologetic. He then arranged for me to collect the nebuliser each night for her to use overnight as long as I returned it each morning, which worked out fineMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

3Dogs, you deserve to bathe in ice cream.
If you ever get the chance, try Sergeant's icecream. They are a Lincolnshire firm based in Hibaldstowe (in the back of beyond), and they always had a van in the centre of Lincoln when I was growing up. Best yellow, creamy ice cream ever.
  NO ............... ice cream is for eating   :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Oooooh that sounds very interesting3Dogs starts to plan a day out in Lincoln when she gets back home ......nom nom nom ...... he he he

We have had a lovely day today :j :j :j :j :j
Even before we went out, we sat reminiscing about when we lived up here. We went out about 11am and drove down to North Shields. I showed Alan the home Mam was in and then we went along the Quay Side. The building he used to work at in the 1970's was gone and fancy waterside apartments had taken it's place. The area had changed, but it was good to see the quayside was alive, with new cafes and bars to serve all the new posh apartments, but that the fishing industry was still there
We then went to Tynemouth Front Street, where we used to go drinking and, in fact, met :kisses2: I used to go down their drinking with a regular group of lasses and he used to go with a regular group of lads, and we all did a lot of drinking down thereWe went into his regular pub, who he used to play darts for and at which we had won mixed darts trophies. It had changed slightly but still felt good to be in there. We only had a coffee but had a lovely chat with the barmaid who had worked in the many Front Street bars for a long time
We then drove along the sea front, stopping to have a walk around Tynemouth Long Sands front and the boating lake. Moving on, we drove through Cullercoats, and Whitley Bay which had changed immensely, but the dome of the Spanish City had been preserved and maintained the look of the old town. We then went along to St Mary's Island, and then into Whitley Bay town centre. Alan was hoping that he could still get a 'Belvedere Pie' which was a pork pie 'injected' into the top with brown sauce   The Belvedere Art Deco corner building was still there, but, alas, no pie shopThere was a butcher's shop and we got two normal pork pies and ate them outside on some benches. They were nice, but not a patch on Belvedere Pies according to Mr 3Dogs
We drove home then as Alan was shattered and he went to bed as soon as we got back at 3pm, getting up only for an hour at 7pm to watch cricket hightlights well done England :j, have a bacon sarnie, and is now sound asleep. But it was lovely wandering round, chatting about where he used to work, and where we used to go, especially Front Street as it held such special memoriesLots of stories, nostalgia and memories
So a very good day, and Mam was good tonight too. She was chatting and ate soup and a large dinner, then a cake I'd taken in for her thank you Tosco and Price flop, and finished off with tea and biccies. She was bright and smiling when I left, though she had been asking how she was going to get home  I just told her she was better off staying where she was and make everyone else come to see her

Hi Brummie down south. I haven't been around much these last few mths, as my life seems to be crashing down around me at the moment. But I do pop in from time to time and keep an eye on you all, and I'm going to try and keep up with the new thread this time, so you may see a little more of me soon. Remind me Brummie, which is your local?French_Knickers wrote: »The thursday tickets we have are simply for the moving motorshow. There will be few stars about, if any and no on track action.
I'd like to hear from anyone thats actually been before on the thursday to gauge opinion before I go.
me, me, me *jumps up and down*, that's my neck of the woods and went on Thurs last year. There was still loads to see and a plenty to walk round. You could look at some of the cars, get freebies from some of the stalls and there was a kinda swapmeet/auto jumble kinda thing and the red arrows did a display. Oh and I got my self loads of free Jazz apples from a stall that had been selling them
Well worth it if your not too far away. Wouldn't like to say if it is if your travelling.
Now, did I hear you say something about free tickets???, did I miss something?Haven't tried it but from tomorrow Ben & Jerry's will be 2 for £6 in T's.
Asda £2.50 each. If JTD works (not sure as never bought Ben & Jerry's) then £2 off price flop. Equals £4 for two plus £1 JTD = £3 after JTD. Plus six clubcard points (4 plus 2 green clubcard points:D). Equals Ben & Jerry's for under £1.50 pot:D Haven't got the nerve to try it:eek:
I've bought the ben and jerries before and it compared to a's fineA clinically depressed person with a sleep condition. I'm in my own little world, but it's ok the people like me here
Any offence is not intentional, I'm really quite harmless0 -

Then, you combine the vouchers with this: (possibly 4 pot's for 50p each if JTD works):j

A word of warning about the fajita coupons. The ones actually pictured on the coupon.....ie the ones NOT in the usual big square flat box have a different barcode and DO NOT trigger the extra points voucher. Had to have mine added at CS.0
