Well that was a long day, and nothing tesco related to cheer me up:(.

GP refused to visit my mum in the end, I couldnt wake her up enough to get her safely into the car, and when I did she was disorientated, but still in lots of pain (lots of pain killers, fentynol patches, oromorph plus new prescription for diazepam has wiped her out, but still in pain!!)

He did a telephone consultation over the phone, with me trying to wake her every 2 minutes to relay a question to her that he was asking, which seems a very bizarre way to assess a patient.

Since then Ive been round 3 times to make sure shes eaten, had a drink and gone to the loo, not to mention collecting the prescription for a new tablet he recommends instead of diazepam, and guess what, big warning on the front...may cause drowsiness! (wheres the 'roll eyes' smilie when you really need it!!)

Just had to call her again to make sure she takes her last lot of tablets tonight, think I need a break and a nice easy glitch to keep me going:(

Supersavvy, I think we had a power surge about three weeks ago when our courtyard flooded. Loads of light bulbs pinged and our cooker circuit went altogether. When the electricians came out, it had fused at the board.

I don't like messing with electrics, well dodgy. Did they manage to sort yours. Hope it didn't damage any appliances.
If it wasn't for blinds it'd be curtains for all of us:dance:

thanks for the advice, my house is quite simple, [STRIKE]T stashes[/STRIKE] clutter safely locked in spare room/garage however it's more of a case of i'm a total baby in the dark :o

you'll not have heard the story of my DH coming to bed with his phone on for a bit of light, came and hovered it over me to see if i was asleep, i thought he was a ghost and completely lost it -screamed the place down, kids came running, DH thought i was screaming at him to get away because we had just had an argument before i came up so was just stood frozen not knowing what to do about my hysteria:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm laughing myself silly here! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Bless you, have a little try at carefully wandering around in the dark some time. It's not scary, it's comforting and peaceful, and it's very interesting how much your eyes can adapt to it, and how much your other senses can come into their own.

PS Please don't fall down the stairs. :) x
    Hope is not a strategy.

Yes, easily sorted thanks once we got them in. I'd narrowed it down to where the problem was beforehand. OH is foreign and a bit gung ho re electricity ( they have sockets in their bathrooms ) but I gave him strict instructions not to mess with cooker circuit and he didn't.
    Hope is not a strategy.

Words fail me. If you have been following my Dolphin adventure you will know what I am talking about.
Tom was spotted of the coast of Kusadasi. There is a dolphinarium in this area, the staff where spotted trying to entice Tom with dead fish into the park. Luckily Born Free have been tracking and foloowing both Misha and Tom. Misha is about 30 miles away. The Dolphin Angels have there own solicitor in Turkey who donated her time to us and she has drawn up some legal docs to stop this happening again. RANT OVER sry.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I'm so glad that Born Free are still monitoring them
I'll be getting myself a free tub of Ben and Jerry's tomorrow.
Don't forget they are touring the country.

3Dogs, you deserve to bathe in ice cream. :)

If you ever get the chance, try Sargent's icecream. They are a Lincolnshire firm based in Hibaldstowe (in the back of beyond), and they always had a van in the centre of Lincoln when I was growing up. Best yellow, creamy ice cream ever.

    Evening all
    Been to T's tonight.
Was really excited as I found about 10 full boxes of the Haribo Football mix.
Was wondering how I was going to get over a hundred packets through the till.....but needn't have worried. They scanned at £1 :(
This was in a superstore so don't know whether it's just an T's Extra 1p item.
Whoopsies were rubbish apart from a lovely bouquet of the finest flowers £15.00 down to £1.50.
Went to 2 different Sainsbobs to look for the £1 dresses but neither store stocked them.
The big S's in Torquay probably does but it's closed until Wednedsay for a refit.
Then popped into Asda to get some Ribena 2 litres for £2 which I thought was a real bargain and good for anyone wanting a JTD shop
Got a bad headache (just for a change) so am going to leave catching up until the morning
    Night night x
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
