I really love Johnny B's posts, one of the best on the forum but this chasing of Renovation Man is curious as only a few weeks ago he told everyone off for asking Graham questions or trying to discuss stuff with the man from Devon.

Have you decided nobody is allowed to quote any of Graham's posts now Johnny?

Graham is most definitely in the bear gang.

    With MacMickster, brit1234 and homelessskilledworker.

To his credit, he is the least stupid of the 4.

Careful, you'll have pictures instead of words in a minute if you carry on like that!

I thought you'd flounced? Are you back now you have a bit of support? :rotfl:

What's interesting is that this 'bull' and 'bear' discussion has played out before....

To try and insist that many of you are not bulls is technically, bull.

I've said I expect prices to increase up to, and past, christmas. Am I therefore a bull? I think not. You can't just swap and change month to month to suit the economic background. What you say, how you see and describe what you see, is what determines your status, at least on MSE."

and what's very interesting is that your pal JB was the one incredulous about your stance that people are grouped into 'bears' and 'bulls':

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=26148273&postcount=50

    Eh?

    Since when?
You actually are a bull on house prices over that time period according to my understanding of the word.

Surely dogmatic responses according to what one wishes to see or according to ones apparently predetermined bias shows that person to be an individual incapable of reasoning and assessment.

Your ability to predict house price rises when (I presume) that isn't what you want does you credit and removes you from that group but it doesn't get away from the fact that you're bullish on house prices over that term.

(Incidentally, I'm bearish over the same term but bullish long term)

(Oh and also, can't you see your apparent resignation to short term rises but remaining long term bearish is just the mirror image of what you are criticising from others???)

Perhaps JB had better try and remember what happened the last time he jumped to Devon's defense:

Oh the irony! Whinging about pigeonholing has ended up in a gathering of people pigeonholing and thanking each other for doing so.

Yet somehow the pigeonholing is now needed to back up the whinging about pigeonholing.

I'd never understood why you were called Mr. Muddle until I read that.

    Indeed.

Yet you skim past post 255 with not a bit of bother. Strange that, eh?

Have you noticed how he's trying desperately to distract us from the original post I made about him needing to have classifications of 'bull' and 'bear' in order to to feel like he belongs.

By his own words (see my previous post), he has said that "You can't just swap and change [from being a 'bull' or a 'bear'] month to month to suit the economic background".

He has also been dtermined that those he has classified as 'bulls' cannot escape his goruping: "To try and insist that many of you are not bulls is technically, bull".

So I put it to you, m'lud, that I have established beyond a doubt that:

    1. Devon thinks of himself as a bear.
    2. Devon groups other people as 'bears' and 'bulls' and doesn't like people to 'swap and change' within these classifications and doesn't like them to insist they are not what he has classifed them as.

We can therefore now get back to my original question to Devon.....

"LOL, you love all this 'bears' and 'bulls' gang stuff. Does it make you feel like you finally have friends and belong? :rotfl:"

What has post 255 got to do with saying "pigeonholing" four times in two sentences got to do with anything?

I think people should leave Graham alone. He's had a good few days where his posts actually made sense and had logic about them but he seems to have recessed today to his old character where very little makes sense.

I sometimes click on Page 501 pr Page 101 at the top of the this board just to see what people used to post and there are some lovely gems on there by the usual suspects. Good entertainment.

Graham_devon seems to have quietened down since I found the evidentiary post from October 2009 where Graham insisted that people are 'bulls' and 'bears' and that this classification cannot be changed to suit the economic background.

JB seems to have also gone quiet since I reminded him of his incredulity (on the same thread in 2009) that Graham would class people as 'bulls' and 'bears' based on anything other than how you feel about a particular market/asset class at a particular time.

Oh well, back to work I suppose. Thanks for the chuckles Devon and JB. :rotfl:
