I've now spent just over £500 in maintenance. In 5 years.
This is from someone who reckons you can build a house for £12k.0 -
Why did the J suddenly turn into a massive bell end?
When he tried to claim that rent over 25 years would be less than a landlords cost of buying a house over 25 years.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Well his cover was officially blown yesterday after he continued to give some very novice financial advice. I find it hard to believe that he's a bad financial advisor - it's obvious that he isn't a financial advisor at all.
Everybody laughed at him so he decided to tell everyone that he buys new cars for cash, owns racehorses and eats gold-crusted caviar for breakfast, so he must be right.
Everybody continued to laugh at him, so he resorted to insults.

Out of interest has Devvers ever commented on whether he's a home owner or a renter? He always seems to avoid that question."Beware of little expenses. A small leak will sink a great ship." - Benjamin Franklin0 -

He has some kind of form of shared ownership/equity/whatever thing going on.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

He couldn't make his mind up whether to rent or buy.
So he bought half a house on a 100% mortgage, and then rented the other half.
He seems to think it worked out alright for him though....
Despite now being fairly vociferous that such lending standards and shared schemes are a bad idea.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

His backstory changes with the wind. Given the time he spends on here I reckon he is unemployed and either has a council flat or lives with his parents.
He also runs that 'thanks' sockie, rewired, but that's another (sad, sad) story.0 -

Nice of you to let me know!
I put down 10%
Don't think you could even get 100% mortgages on shared ownership?0
