    I put down 10% :)

And were you punished by being forced to pay a 3% higher rate than the average at the time for having such a small deposit?

When DpchMd jumps to your rescue you might as well end everything. That guy is even more stupid than you are Hamish.

Now you've slept on it, have you realised how ridiculous it was to fill the rental shortfall from income for the calculation? And how the rental excess would nowhere near cover it because of the repayment curve? :rotfl:

It takes a big man to accept they were wrong, have you got it in you? As you said, everyone makes mistakes.

    Punished?

I took the rate that was on offer at the time. What do you mean by punished? I may be being thick, but I'm not sure what you are either suggesting, or mean?

And that a house needs a new roof every year, and a new boiler every month. ;)
Or that the outstanding loan amount on a repayment mortgage is higher than an interest only mortgage. There are some classic gems.

    He didn't. Not suddenly!!

He was very favourable when he started on "the bears"!

LOL, you love all this 'bears' and 'bulls' gang stuff. Does it make you feel like you finally have friends and belong? :rotfl:

All this argument with J shows to me is that everyone has their own opinions and while some may share opinions on one subject they have opposite opinions on others. Only you and a couple of others on here seem to want to pigeonhole people into 'gangs' and thats becaue you only see things in black and white with no room for shades of grey. Oh, and because of your need to 'belong'.

There most certainly is a gang RM. The retard gang and one or two others.

I am astonished and afraid at the staggering lack of mathematical ability on this forum. And these people are professing financial opinions? :rotfl:

Look at how they try to divert the argument away from the figures. Hilarious.

It's all very strange, I've never met a bear or a bull in the real world. It's like they try to create a virtual life and friendships on line.

They don't read people's posts but look at the user name and try to reply with anything potentially contradictory even if it's complete nonsense.

You appear to be a victim of your own put down. You describe the problem with others, and then can't help yourself in going on and doing exactly what you describe!

Hmnn, OK I'll go with this.

Who do I pigeonhole into bears and bulls?

Me. You stated I need to "belong". You stated I was in a group. You did exactly what you moaned about....as you were moaning about it....which is mildly amusing, but none surprising.
