Debate House Prices

We viewed a house on Saturday, and we have taken it.

She is beeing greedy!! And I hope her new tenants cause her nothing but a huge headache!!
A 3% increase seems pretty reasonable to me.

She will probably put it up for £825 and not tell the incoming tenants there is a shared cesspool (cost from £65 - £100 a month) until they are ready to sign on the dotted line.
Yes 3% is not much, but she is getting back a re-decorated house (was in bad condition and badly painted) two landscaped gardens (again in bad condition when we moved in) I estimate that we have saved her over £1,500 by improving the property ourselves (yes, I do know this was my choice!!)
So anyway, we move out and she pays letting agent to find a new tenant - this will be more than the cost of the rent increase over a 12 month period - what was the point in increasing the rent???
I hope the next tenant pays late - or never - refuses to pay for share of cesspool, and bugs her night and day over repairs.
Are good tenants worth less profit?????0 -

Cesspool
A Cesspool is a term used to describe a collection of female acquaintances to be shared as a common resource among a group of guy friends.

Hi Renovation Man
We moved in 12 months ago, so this is the first rent increase.
Due to the location of the property it shares a cesspool with 2 other cottages, all our waste water (sink, shower, washing machine etc..) goes in the cesspool and it costs £600.00 each time it is emptied - this £600.00 is split between the 3 houses, and on average it needs to by emptied every 10-14 weeks.0 -

All the cottages near me empty into a shared cess pit but they only empty it once a year. Seems a bit OTT to average every 12 weeks, but perhaps its a different design. The one the cottages use has a tank for solids and the liquids go into a second chamber full of gravel for bacteria to work on. Its on my land so I watched the maintenance guys give it a full overhaul, it was like an underground bunker.0
