Of course they don't; not in the actual real world. Many people use loans for cashflow purposes, which is the whole point of pay-day loans.
I've even heard of multi-millionaires using loans for cashflow.
I'd suggest that anyone who thinks that loans are only for purchases is the naive one.
Don't mix business loans with personal loans. They are different entities.
If you cannot make your wages last from one payday to the next, you are doing something drastically wrong.
There are execptions of course, but you are suffering from poor money management.
You don't have to be silver spoon fed to build up a small float of savings from those emergencies in life.

It is simple arithmitic, your income MUST be larger than your outgoings or you are heading for disaster. There are countless examples of this on here.

You are of course correct, PDL are designed for people who have nothing at all, which is why there is so many cries to get them banned altogether. Far too many people take them with no machanism to ever repay it, so roll it over with the well known consequences.

    Depends who the FSO are.
If anyone would take action it would probably be the FOS.

Even then, they would expect the complainant to have followed the Companies correct complaints procedure, 30 days to respond followed by 8 weeks to respond to a formal complaint.

Not a quick thing at all, and most people who find themselves in this position (based on the multitude of posts on MSE) simply give up before this stage.

It's completely unrealistic to assume the FOS are going to wade in at a moments notice, they would need to be staffed by many many thousands.

Did I say the FSO would wade in at a moment's notice? - a bit of a straw man that eh? (nice touch with FSO vs FOS btw, very very astute).

You seem to agree that they can act though, so you seem to have listened.

Yes, it takes time, but the OP states they are a student and seem to have some ability to make a coherent point, so perhaps they could take action rather than doing nothing?

Where did I mention business loans? And wouldn't the same principles apply anyway?

For a single month, that is the essence of a cashflow issue; that's what short term loans are for.

There are execptions of course, but you are suffering from poor money management.

Have I ever suggested otherwise? Is it just to create an illusion that this is a valid point against something I said?

So, having trouble with the Ombudsman question?
