Thanks to this thread I have signed up for noddle, and has information about all my accounts from past and present, apart from my current account, which isn't on experian either (had it for about 20 yrs so guess that's why not on either).
Am going to give noddle a check for a month or two and if is as good as it is so far, and updates I can say goodbye to experian and save £6 or so a month. All good really.0 -
I have tried to register to noodle twice and have not received the pin email on both occasions.
I have not been asked to pay £2 and both times, it allowed me to create my user and pass so I think they were able to locate my details.
I tried to register again shortly afterwards and they said that they were not able to locate my identity.0 -
I am in the UK for less than 1 year and as per their site my details would normally not come through.. I just entered that I am in UK for 3 years and the identification went on smoothly with my credit card and I can view my credit report.. :-) I do not think paying 20 per year to Noddle is worth while because they are still going to update the report once a month and not as and when updated by the lenders. If it was going to give instant updates from the lenders on your credit report I would consider the Fee as worthwhile.... Experian and Equifax are expensive anyway I think..I am Novice wrt Knowledge on UK Banking industry. I post based on my own experiences and knowledge of using credit cards overseas.0

If you are referring to the credit file web site try noodle.com and it is totally free all the time no mater how many times you check it0

Free but only updates once per month and only shows data reported to CallCredit which is the smallest and least commonly used CRA in the UK.
Since it's free you should sign up to it and ensure everything is correct, don't worry if accounts/searches are missing from it because they simply may not be reported to CallCredit. What you should be concerned about is making sure the information it does show is correct.
Then be on your way knowing you have checked and corrected where necessary one of the 3... moving onto Experian and Equifax.
Once you have all correctly reporting factual information I'd advise probably just using Noddle and CheckMyFile, which should keep you in th picture at a very low cost per month.
If you don't wish or can't afford to pay each month then Noddle and a a 6 month/yearly statutory report check on Experian and Equifax should see you good.
If you have a major credit need coming up such as car loan/mortgage etc then don't check last minute because any corrections you need to make may take sometime, some leg work. Check in advance, give yourself time to resolve issues before needing to make credit applications.0 -

As you say if the credit information is not there how can they show it, well think you've just answered it for yourself That noodle are not in the same league as experian & Equifax rendering this company hopeless.
Noddle although more delayed in updating the records, lists EVERY single account I have, more than Experian or Equifax.I have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.
Don't rely on anything I write as it may be wrong!!!0 -
£20 per year (£1.70 per month) for Noddle is much better than £15 per month from Experian or £9 per month from Equifax.
You can still have the free credit report and but if you want a more in depth view of your rating and track it month to month it's really not much to pay. If they start offering an alerts service for a similar price I would definitely consider it.
What's the £9 a month for with Equifax? I only pay £3.49 a month for their unlimited credit report service.

Why? If the free Noddle service shows all of your accounts, why pay Equifax £3.49 a month?
I appreciate some people are a bit obsessive about their credit report, but do you really need to look at an up-to-date, incomplete, version of it more than once a month?
If I were you and I was obsessive about my credit report I'd cancel Equifax and get a £2 Statutory Credit Report from Equifax and Experian maybe every six months or so.
Just saved you £33.88, or more, a year! :rotfl:0 -

I personally check my credit report once or twice a year and the reason I don't check noddle being the simplist reason that no lender uses the !!!!! noddle(call credit) in the first place so why would I give a monkeys whats on there.
If I want to watch live premireship football I dont flick onto the discovery channel I go straight to sky sports as I know they are the big players in football like Equifax & Experian are with CRAs.
Noddle lol what a pants website.0 -
You should pay for your £2 statutory reports from Experian and Equifax every now and again, or at least before making a new credit application.
Sign up for noddle for free if you want (don't pay them) but any serious applications for credit only use the other two CRAs.
For cheap Experian unlimited credit reports and credit monitoring, look at third party offerings. E.g. I get Experian included in my smilemore benefits.
It's also maybe worth getting an Equifax or Experian subscription and then cancelling it as they'll offer you a subscription at a much more reasonable price when you call to cancel.0
