3uk scrapped 1p delivery report charge?

My current pay as you go phone is on 3 uk network whic i have been on for over 6 years. In june 2011, 3uk announced a new charge of 1p for each delivery report used via texts. As soon as this took effect, i switched it off. My current tarif on 3uk is the All-In-One plan which gives me for £10, minutes and texts to last a month. So all i do is top up £10 every month. Now, back to delivery reports- this morning i turned the option back on as i couldnt get through to a friend and i was suprised when a report came through saying it was delivered. I checked my balance and i only have the inclusive minutes and texts but zero credit. So they couldnt charge me 1p for the report. Anyway i have used it again nearly 20times and every time it gives me a report without charging me. I havent heard of 3uk waiving this 1p charge. Has any1 heard of this? Has any1 tried to use delivery reports lately and not been charged?

You will have to watch when you top-up next they don't take it then.

I am sure they cant take it out of my next top up unless i was fore warned... Like on 02 and LendAQuid and Orange ReserveTank. But i cant seem to find anything on google to say whether the 1p charge is stil scrapped or stil running. I can only find the news about the charge coming into power. But when i did try to use it before without credit, it just wouldnt allow it. So why allow it now?

Yeah i can see your point but just keep an open mind because like you said you can't find nothing saying they have stopped the charges and to be honest i would have though it would be all over the net by now because it was a big thing when it came in.

Update! During last couple week iv used about 200 of my free texts while my credit was zero. So if 1p each it would cost me 2quid. Ive put 10quid credit on this morning and they did not take out money for used delivery reports. And Ive used reports today with credit and no charges. Is the 1p text reports really scrapped on 3?
