I was quietly reminiscing about the time Greta Garbo appeared at my window when I suddenly thought to myself, "Here, hang on a minute!"
And so I did.
And during that minute, I thought - just as suddenly, as it happens - "Oh no they weren't!"
I refer - as if, dear reader, you hadn't guessed already (for surely you had) - to the former purchase price, expressed in these new-fangled piggypoint things, of shopping vouchers.
As I recall, and my powers of recollection are quite without sine qua non, the previous charge levied for the said articles was not 1100 points, as claimed by someone by the name of pennylane99 (and, if I may make so bold, that is not really a name I think is genuine), but 1150.
Since I have just spent five hours and sixty-seven minutes verifying this indisputable fact by consultation of this most useful site's archives, I hope that we will have no more of these lapses in accuracy, on a a site which, after all, is based on financial matters in which the smallest of errors may be critical.
Anyway, there she was at the window, bl**dy Greta Garbo ...
I have to say i didnt really 'get' most of this but i read the general gist is disagreeing with penny lane that vouchers were 1150pp not 1100pp .... well they were both depending on which you chose. I always got 'leisure vouchers' at 1100pp and i recall the boots ones were 1150pp. Hope this clears it up?????**Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!**

I hope PB do read this thread as they might want to think about this...
As I have said elsewhere, I am not a legal eagle so I may be wrong (if we have any lawyers out there please jump right in). I think I will get some concrete advice on this but here are my thoughts so far...
In running the DP competition, PB have entered into a contract with each winner to provide the prize (the fact that the prize is supplied by someone else is a separate issue). As this has been done over the Internet, it is possible that Distance Selling Regs apply. If this is the case, it means that PB have 30 days (from announcing each winner) to supply the prize or are in breach of contract. If there is a problem, the supplier is supposed to contact the buyer and either agree to cancel the contract or to negotiate an alternative (such as a different product or an extension on the delivery date). As far as I know, PB have not contacted anyone about the lack of DP prizes (although they have responded to emails from piggies).
I would suggest that it would be a good idea if PB were to offer an alternative to the DP prize. Perhaps an award of PiggyPoints either in lieu of the prize or as an interim 'goodwill' measure.0 -
Is anyone else still waiting for etribes points? I joined on 21/12/06. I chased them up on 7/2/07 and they said I had not validated my account. I had followed all the provedures in the email I had - but I should have had a further email which never arrived. I then emailed etribes and they sent me a new email - so I clicked on that one on 7/2/07. Do I have to wait another 6 weeks from then? I do get a bit tired of chasing up PB as I never seem to get points without a struggle...0

The minimum withdrawal amount at AQuestionOfMoney.com is $20.
I've not read the offer at all but couldn't you just deposit $20 instead of $10 and then withdraw without playing through? Sorry for being too lazy to read the offer btw :rolleyes:0 -
