DS how did I mange to Thank you twice?

I emailed Pigsback about my Tesco points which they credited me.And I had a email today saying I can keep the points.Lucky me extra 210 points for doing nothing.
    It's your magic touch, P!

You deserve to keep the points. And, of course, it probably costs PB more in admin time to correct the situation.

Does anyone know how long the Arcadia vouchers take to arrive. It says 14 days, but wondered if it was any shorter.

but the whole point of pigsback and the points and comps etc is to promote clients sites, and to attract customers to them...more sales/business..not people just clicking on posted links to gain points/vouchers, and not even looking at the customers site....;)

If you buy from the shop & earn pages then you have nowt to "worry " about :D

I thought i would just use pigsback to get "free" points but i have been doing more and more purchases gradually

esp now tesco is on there :T

Oh refered his sister to PB in the hope of getting the extra 500 points, she most certinly used the referal email and we noted down the number that appeared. I talked her through the site at my house and then left her to her own devices, she ordered her first reward on Monday. Surprise surprise no points added, emailed Rachel only to receive a reply stating that OH sister did not go via link, oh yes she did. I did it for her. I have refered them to this thread, pointing out that this seems to be a common occurance and asking for their comments.
Me is starting to think that they have pulled the plug on this.

    Hi,

Not true that they are pulling the plug on it..I referred my OH, he claimed 1st reward and the next day my 500 points were added.

    and you don't, I take it ;)

I can't quite understand why you are defending pigsback when you are on this thread helping people and pointing them in the right direction of free points, you've referred several people to the second post :rotfl:

There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

  • I was quietly reminiscing about the time Greta Garbo appeared at my window when I suddenly thought to myself, "Here, hang on a minute!"

    And so I did.

And during that minute, I thought - just as suddenly, as it happens - "Oh no they weren't!"

I refer - as if, dear reader, you hadn't guessed already (for surely you had) - to the former purchase price, expressed in these new-fangled piggypoint things, of shopping vouchers.

As I recall, and my powers of recollection are quite without sine qua non, the previous charge levied for the said articles was not 1100 points, as claimed by someone by the name of pennylane99 (and, if I may make so bold, that is not really a name I think is genuine), but 1150.

Since I have just spent five hours and sixty-seven minutes verifying this indisputable fact by consultation of this most useful site's archives, I hope that we will have no more of these lapses in accuracy, on a a site which, after all, is based on financial matters in which the smallest of errors may be critical.

Anyway, there she was at the window, bl**dy Greta Garbo ...
  • Pigsback are on a big campaign until october to boost the number of members up to 1 million. they currently have in the region of 500,000 members. The point of pigsback is to act as a referral port hole to shopping websites "a channel". they entice people in with the free points in the hope that a % of these will go on to actually make a purchase. they fully know not everyone will make a purchase and this is factored in. Obviously the more people that use them to make a purchase the happier they will be, but essentially its the same as any other form of marketing. And by getting you as a member, they feel that at some point in the future at least you will be more likely to use them to make purchases than anyone else. They are a marketing company.... curly is a marketing tool, the quizzes are marketing tools to draw people in, the competitions are advertisements for various companies, the pigsback people are very nice, but, how are they any different from a bank offering a £50 signup welcome? Do we say it's wrong that people sign up for credit cards for the freebies and then ditch them as soon as possible? no! this is a similar thing. Just think how much extra business this thread as given PB along with free advertising for PB and its affiliates ie, TESCO, TK MAXX, CD WOW. It's actually quite a cheap form of advertising and LOYALTY BRANDING for these companies and Pigsback. So let's not feel so guilty about the whole signup thing. As long as we stick to the rules of PB, no more, no less, then fair is fair.

But i do think it is wrong that people outside of UK & Eire are trying to use PB as this contravenes it's rules and THAT is unfair.
