Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had some template / sample letters for mobile cancellation and the address to send it to orange?

Just tried to cancel over the phone but it kept cutting out for some reason, so I don't trust it :P

I would prefer to send them the letter with recorded devliery so they don't mess me about with debt collectors

My contract ends in august and the man on the phone said I would have to pay £27 to cancel it now

I'm not sure you can by letter. You have to clear their security checks to cancel (or anything else).

If in doubt, ask for PAC code and transfer number out.

Written noitice in a latter will be fine, if they have doubts they can call or write to the account holders address. As the OP will send by recorded Orange can't say it's not been properly served, even if they have questions.

Back to the OP, just put what you want, ie

    Dear Sir
Please accept this as notice of cancellation of 0712345678 and I with to terminate on dd/mm/yy.

    and sign it

You'll get calls form upgrades just say no, and remember to send it to the contact address on the bill, not head office, not an address you find onthe web, but the one on the bill as specified.

There is no point in terminating early, as th ETC will equal the amount you will pay to see the contract to term anyway-and you won't have the use of the service.
You will also lose your number if you don't get a PAC and use it.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
