I asked because Mrs G has had periods when she just felt blurgh for no apparent reason even to the point of seeking medical advice. I noticed that there was a correlation between her blurgh periods and when she had let her usual exercise routine slip.0 -
How are you sleeping at night? Is your sleep interrupted with night sweats? Could you maybe be peri menopausal?Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Raised thyroid level my first level was 5.5 then 6.2 and now 7.33 thes have all been taken in the last 6 months
This is pretty high... I would suggest asking your GP to try you on Levithyroxine.
As a previous poster said, get over to Thyroid UK. You'll get lots of good advice.0 -
Going through similar problems myself... have the docs checked your T4 level aswell? my TSH level is rising but my T4 level is stable and my Dr wont prescribe levithyroxine until my TSH level is up and my T4 level drops.. get them to check your T4/T3 levels too, hope this helps0

You do sound as if your thyroid is the problem - especially if the B12 injections have had no effect (I know people who have this and say they feel fantastic right after having it).
I have had my thyroid removed due to cancer so I think I have been at almost every level TSH level whilst trying to get the levothyroxin levels right and coming off it completely for treatment - I do specifically remember once I was tested and it was at around 8 and I was feeling absolutely awful - even at 5 when it is considered an okay level I was a nightmare. I would definitely push your GP for treatment (and take your hubby too for support). I know how hard it is sometimes to get your point across to a doctor when something is bothering you so much but the doctor seems to think you are some sort of hysterical (he had his eye wiped with me when it was proved I was sick!)
Have a look here, it explains about acceptable levels. My doctor has said to me that up to 6 is considered normal so I don't know if we are slightly different in the UK

Also, when you are diagnosed hypothyroid or hyper then you are entitled to free prescriptions for life - I would wonder if this would make some doctors more averse to diagnosing straight away?!0 -
Whilst it seems logical that it's thyroid related you really do need to pin the GP down about exactly what they have and haven't tested for - things can happen concurrently.
I know it's obvious but did the GP test your blood sugar levels - putting on weight and fatigue can also be symptoms of diabetes.
Did it start after a bout of 'flu or another virus, could it be post viral fatigue aka chronic fatigue syndrome/ME? That might explain why there's nothing concrete come out of any blood tests.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
