Been there, done that, rung out the pillows from the tears shed , and now I'm coming through again ....for the umpteenth time!

Only thing is ...when I've been stressed through the years, I put on weight ....so as I've expanded, my lbd collection has expanded accordingly (and very non-MSE I know) because I've had to collect them!!!

So I've still got a Biba mini dress, a Barbara Huluniki (sp?) maxi outfit (with gold brocade hotpants!) plus two or three others from 80s/90s ...all of which might just fit one leg!

But heigh-ho - life goes on - we may not be where we wanted/expected to be - but now we're here, we might as well enjoy the view and get on with it!

I dont have a lbd. To be fair, i did have one, gorgous thing from M&S it was except it was a wrapover dress and it kept coming undone. I kept finding my bra and the tops of my legs (had to wear an underslip) were showing more than i'd have liked.

Might replace it at some point but maybe not.

LS glad you've found a happy situation now. My LBD I sent to the charity shop as it was a size 10 (size 16 now) and there's no chance (unfortunately) I'll be a 10 again....... I'd settle for a 12-14 :o

Thanks for showing me its possible, Im hopefully half way there, to both the post disaster life, and fitting the little black dress.

Mine is very Diana circa 1982, strapless, big bow, hopefully when I finally reach that shore, there will be an event worth wearing it to?
