i dropped my phone in water the other day its at a shop to see if it can be repaired - I paid about £300 on the phone and took out an 18 month low usage contract with O2 which has 5 months left on it. My question is can I cancel me contract with O2 and take out another one? I dont fancy having to pay another £300 for a phone if i can get one cheaper with a contract - apparently im not entitled to any upgrade. First time ive had a contract phone so im not sure what i can do, i would need another iphone just really looking for my best option really.

Thanks

Sure - providing you pay to the end of the minimum term, you can cancel and go. You would need to go to a different carrier to start a new contract, but it may be cheaper to replace with a s/h model and put your SIM into it.

You are likely to be able to downgrade your contract with O2 one step down in the second half of your minimum term. Check you T&C.

i think im already on the cheapest tariff as im a low user as far as calls are concerned. I understand from the apple website that you can get an out of warranty exchange from apple for £126, so i think that might be the best option
