Hello
It's so difficult starting from scratch and having such a limited budget you really notice how expensive meat and fruit & veg areSadly your diet might be very carb heavy for a while but it will get easier as you start to build up a store again.
Good luck and here's my effort that might give you some ideas;
12 x smartprice sausages 84p
4 x baking potatoes 70p
tin smartprice peas 21p
tub smartprice ground black pepper 18p
packet smartprice gravy granules 20p
packet smartprice batter mix 7p
packet smartprice spaghetti 24p
jar smartprice pasta sauce 39p
smartprice garlic bread 35p
6 x smartprice eggs 85p
box smartprice cornflakes 46p
loaf of regular a$da bread 55p (they do do a smartprice version too I think for about 47p)
butter/spread £1.00 (Flora buttery is on offer £1.00 for 500g atm)
1/2 kilo smartprice apples 50p (about 4)
1/2 kilo bananas 34p (about 3)
1/4 kilo carrots 20p (about 2)
4 pints milk £1.18
smartprice mixed fruit jam 29p
smartprice blackcurrant squash 29p
smartprice natural yogurt 55p
smartprice tea bags 27p
smartprice rich tea 14p
smartprice noodles 11p
smartprice custard 6p
TOTAL £9.97p
Weekday Breakfast: Cornflakes with milk & a cup of tea
Weekday Lunch: Toast & Jam, apple or banana or carrot sticks
Saturday/Sunday Brunch: Egg & soldiers/Sausage & egg sandwich
Weekday Dinners:
Toad in the hole (4 sausages, batter mix, 1 egg, gravy, black pepper, 1/2 tin peas, 1 carrot) to have for two nights
Pasta & Sauce with Garlic Bread (spaghetti, black pepper, pasta sauce, garlic bread) to have for two nights, freezes well, just break the garlic bread in half
Sausage, mash, peas & gravy (2 sausages, 1 potato, 1/2 tin peas, gravy & black pepper)
Sausage, jacket potato & beans (2 sausages, 1 potato, 1/2 tin beans)
Weekend Dinners:
Noodles
Jacket potato with beans (1 potato 1/2 tin beans)
Dessert: Yogurt or custard with jam or banana mixed in!
Treat: Cup of tea & biscuits
I know toast & jam isn't very exciting and you might tire of sausages easily but as a start it gives you a spare two eggs, two sausages and one jacket potato for next week plus a frozen ready made pasta meal as well as a store of tea bags, spread, seasoning & pasta. Also keeping a bottle of diluted squash in the fridge was great for curbing my hunger
Good luck xx0 -

Would like to say a BIG THANKYOU for all the replies.
Just to let you know, family problems hopefully sorted out now, so my normal life/shopping MSE style can resume.I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.
