When I (rarely) have to speak to customers on the phone who are furious with my employer for us rejecting their PPI complaint due to its age bizarrely letting them know I was at primary school/secondary school when this happened usually works to illustrate the length of time ago it was and placate them.

Either that or they refuse to believe that I'm the manager and demand to speak to a grown up.

I have no paperwork, but I have had several loans in the early nineties from the forward trust finance group. I am almost sure I paid PPI on these loans but unfortunately this company is dissolved. Is there any way I could make enquires about making a claim. What is my first point of contact. I heard First direct bank deals with outstanding loans from this company. any ideas anyone.

Pre regulation complaints off this nature are a non-starter.

You don't know whether you actually had PPI

The seller of any insurance attached to the loans is no longer trading

Any sale would pre-date the regulation of Insurance products in January 2005
