Hey all.
I was after a bit of advice, please, if someone is willing to help. I've seen a couple of posts up here through searching about the above company - one of which is pretty unflattering - and I've researched online and found they are absolute cowboys.
My father recently paid Dial A Rod £149.99 for their Gold cover, and has only received a policy number from them via email. Promised policy details haven't arrived by post and we have had no contact from Dial A Rod since then. I have tried them on every available number numerous times and with zero response. This includes the claim line!
I'm pretty concerned as online reviews of this company are not good, and I was hoping someone here would be able to advise on how my father can get his money back, and spread the word.
Many thanks in advance.

Firstly contact the local Trading Standards office.
Then contact Watchdog/Rogue Trader type programmes.
Lastly sue them in the Small Claims Court.
I have no knowledge of this company, however there are all sorts of these companies that spring up - take in premiums/payments - go bust - start up again with a different name with no liability for the previous company.0 -
I took out boiler cover with Dial a Rod in March. I attempted to pay by credit card but was told they were having problems with the payment system and so I sent in a cheque for the full payment of £85.99 instead. I have now found out through on-line banking that 2 days ago they debited £189.99 fom my credit card. Dial a Rod have now disappeared on line, and their telephone number takes you to a recorded message saying the number is no longer in use. I would urge anyone who has a policy with them to check that they have not taken any further money without your knowledge, and take steps to ensure that they can't take any further payments should they try to.0
